Time freezing on macbook pro

it all started about a month ago where my game randomly stops, everything just freezes, my sims and the time and all the surrounding stuff just stop moving, but when i click on any function-able thing, i can hear the clicking sound of the game but nothing works.

i have the latest 2023 macbook pro in 18 gb ram and an m3 pro chip, so I really think its not  a “laptop problem”

i also have a lot of cc and mods, i tried removing them and nothing worked i also tried troubleshooting where i deleted the whole game folder and kept my saves and mods and when i placed them back in the new generated folder, nothing worked.
