someone on ea support said its caused by "temporary files" and to fix it, i have to uninstall the whole game and then run the reset origin tool
Hey guys,
My girlfriend has the same problem: the patch's download won't go past ~74%. We've tried repairing the game, but then the same thing happens: even the repair stops 'downloading' all together. First we figured it was something on our end. Seeing these posts however makes us think it has to do with today's update.
Awaiting a solution!
Kind regards.

Same here - reset Origin then tried to repair the game and it kept getting near the end then recycling.

got to 85% then the dreaded 196613:0 error message. Resumed the downloaded and it flew to 92% then stopped again 😬
- 6 years ago@Bluebellflora I've been stuck on 92% for the last hour ☹️

First thing I did when I got up this morning was try again, just to patch, not to repair or reset Origin again, and it installed in seconds.
The only thing that isn’t working now is that I can only start the game through Origin, not directly, which is new for me, but at least I can play.
I hope everyone else gets fixed.

Hmm, I just tried and can load from the app directly. Could you run the Origin reset tool and see if that fixes it? https://help.ea.com/en-gb/help/origin/origin/how-to-reset-origin-on-mac/
Origin does seem insanely buggy at the moment. I just uninstalled a pack to test something and it didn't register in Origin until I ran the reset tool. Urgh.
