Abnormal game boot-up, is there anything I could do???

Ever since the release of the Life & Death update, my game began to boot up in an unusual way, before crashing the game after 10 seconds of reaching the end of the game's boot up animation.

Clarification:

-After opening the game, the game froze into a black screen for two seconds before continuing onto its intro animation, but no audio played throughout. [Clear sign of an abnormal boot-up.]

-At the end of the animation, the game froze up until, eventually, turning into a black screen and crashing afterwards. [Sometimes, even after crashing, it won't redirect me to the EA App after the ordeal.]

I've honestly tried everything at this point. Reinstalling, temporarily removing mods and safe files, and even disabling the game packs I've already purchased. I even contacted Steam and they weren't able to fix the issue.  Is there any way I could fix this or face the inevitable fact that I can't play the game again after spending 100+ hours on this game?

Please, any help is appreciated. I've spent almost an year to fix this fatal bug.

  • Seariax  The bad_module_info error is often related to playing in fullscreen mode with settings that aren't working as intended, and windowed mode often addresses the problem.  So please let me know whether it helps or helped.

The OneDrive error could also cause a whole host of problems with Sims 4.  If you have no particular use for it, or you don't mind uploading files manually, I would suggest getting rid of it or at least keeping it away from your Documents folder and therefore from your Sims 4 user data.  How to do so is covered here:

If you want to keep your current OneDrive configuration, try pausing syncing before you play.  To see the option, right-click the cloud icon in the lower-right corner of the screen, or sometimes it's hidden in the Tray (^ icon).

  • Seariax  Please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

  • Seariax  I don't consider this a late response.  People have stuff to do and don't always have time to sit down and troubleshoot.

At any rate, please try launching the game in windowed mode.  Open Options.ini, in Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4, search for fullscreen , and set it to 0 (zero).  Avoid the other settings with fullscreen in the name; they're not relevant here.

I would also suggest playing immediately after restarting your computer, with nothing else open other than Steam and the EA App.  Your dxdiag shows that your computer's page file was almost all used at the time you ran it, despite your 16 GB RAM, which means there were a lot of apps or background processes running.  Aside from the resources they'd be taking, one of these programs could conflict with Sims 4.

If that alone doesn't help, please look for an error that happens when you try to launch the game.  Click Windows key-R and enter "perfmon /rel" without quotes, and you'll see a chart of errors and updates with a column for each day.  Today is on the right.

Look for an error that happened at exactly the time of your most recent attempt to play.  If you find one, double-click it to see more details, then copy that info and paste it into a reply here.  If you don't see a new error, check back in an hour or so—the Reliability Monitor doesn't always update right away.

So far there were no errors involving the game whatsoever when I ran the perf. log. There were crit. issues, but it's mostly from OneDrive and Bad_Module_Info. Here is the report if relevant.

Thank you for helping me. Never thought OneDrive can actually disrupt with the game's capability to function in a way that would cause the game to become defunct.
