Can't play the game anymore

So, when I first started playing the Sims 4 it worked just fine and I had a lot of fun, but now all I can do is create Sims and I can't actually go to the lot I put them in. The only option there is to create a new household which is not what I want. I noticed right after I buy the lot and try to go into it this blue box will appear on the side and I can't do anything but close the game. I'm not sure if this is all caused by mods which I have only used CurseForge, which I was told was the safest for Sims 4 mods. Which now I'm not sure if mods are even related to this problem or not. I really enjoy playing the Sims and I'd love to know what I can do to play again, or what I can do to fix this issue. Honestly, I can't tell if it's on me for getting mods and using cheats or if it's a bug, I would appreciate some feedback or advice of what I can possibly do. I've tried to close the Sims 4, multiple times, but the same thing always happens.
