Game don't open / open lag and shut down

Hi, since the last update (nov 05/25) my game don't open or open, lag while the animation and close back to the EA app with an error message (screen). Without mods and cc my game works fine so i clear my cc folder in order to find what causing the issue. After several try mods wasn't the problems, it was the custom content. I try to repair them, dowload fresh cc nothing works, either the game don't open or again open, lag and close. Here is the list of what i try next :

  • Repair game
  • Rename Sims 4 folder
  • Reinstall the game and EA app
  • The -dx9 tricks
  • Look at windows defender
  • Delete all cache folder

The randomness of the bug makes me think that the problems is not with the cc but much deeper, so i'm kinda lost. I apologies if there is any mistakes in this message, english is not my first langage as u can see. Thanks u for reading this and for ur help !

  • cf94c5697071cdec  What antivirus do you use, and does it list any recent actions involving Sims 4 or the EA App, or your mods or cc downloads for that matter?  A useful test would be to disable the antivirus, temporarily of course, download a fresh copy of one mod or cc item, and try using that.  Make sure the game works with the AV disabled and no mods or cc first, of course.  And you can reenable the AV when you're done.  As long as you don't do anything aside from testing Sims 4 while your AV is disabled, your computer should be safe.

I have windows defender, I check the history, nothing reporter. But in my browser i have nothing such as adblock for exemple if that's what u have in mind

I also want to mention that sometimes the "failed to launch game" error happens after the game has been closed or crashed, when the computer has not been restarted.  So if you're not restarting between sessions, whether you're testing or actually playing, and you tend to get the error in those cases, please restart every time you want to play.  This is an EA App issue, not Sims 4, as far as I can tell.
