ellassmith22 That happens sometimes, but it shouldn't typically happen on a desktop. There are several ways around it though, for example:

If that doesn't help, clean-uninstall the old driver, as described here:
If you can't install the new driver even with the old one removed, go back online and let Windows find a new driver, which it will, although we won't know which driver it installs. If you still can't play after that, post a new dxdiag, and I will write out how to force-install the driver of your choice.
And to be clear, this driver IS compatible with your hardware—it's made by Intel and specifically validated for your processor and its graphics chip. The manufacturer software is what's blocking it.
puzzlezaddict The first link didn't work for me, the driver still was showing the same message, and the DDU also would not download correctly/was not showing up as described in my downloads. I think I am just going to take it to Best Buy and have someone look at it/possibly get a new computer that is already updated.
If I get a new computer, should my files/saves for The Sims 4 be okay to transfer? Like nothing was wrong with them, just the computer's drive itself right?
Thank you so much for your help btw, I really appreciate it. This stuff is way out of my league.
