Game won't start up since September 18th
UPDATE: I have waited until 10/20/24 to check for new updates to the game. There was one for 10/8/2024. I completed the update from EA (I'm on PC using Windows 7). It is still giving me the error of "There is a problem with your game's setup. Please reinstall your game." I need to know how to fix this without losing my saved games. I'd also like to know why this has NEVER happened until the update on 9/18/2024. Any and all help is appreshiated. If anyone knows if EA is aware and trying to fix, I'm willing to wait for a new patch to see if it fixes it. This needs to go back to Origin, never had issue over there. I use cheats, but no custom stuff or modify stuff. Usually just cheats for money or acheivements.

Since EA makes you update your game everytime there is one, I log into my EA account with no problems. It does it's update, no problem. I go to start up my game, no go. It gives me the "There is a problem with your game's setup. Please reinstall your game." I have reported this twice with EA (even have the 2 ticket numbers) and not even an email with any kind of help. I've tried to reinstall, I've tried to repair, nothing. I can not get into my game. Now I'm no computer person, so if anyone can help me and dumb it down to like a kindergartner level, I'd love that. I have spent $1000s of dollars with all the Sims since the begining, but if this is how it's going to become, I'm not only going to be very upset, but no longer a fan. I'm just very frustrated with the whole system. It was fine when you had the discs and the only thing you had to worry about was if it got scratched. Yes I like not having to keep track of discs now, and I'm not against the "upgrades", but EA needs to remember the original fans that aren't very techie and need everything dumbed down. They also need to respond, even if it's with a message of we hear you and are looking for a solution. That way I'm not just waiting like you do for your cable guy to show up.
