okay so basically, my mods weren’t working after i connected my external hard drive. and i looked it up on here and it said i needed to format the drive so i did. what i failed to do is to remove the EA folder off before i formatted it. now its gone. i cannot run the game at all, ive tried to delete it and reinstall and ive tried to update the game. literally nothing works please help me
078280 If you created a symbolic link, you can simply delete it so the game goes back to using the internal drive instead.
If that doesn't help, what happens when you try to play? If you get an error message, please post a screenshot. Please also list the current format of the drive and where you want the user data to be.

Hi so I deleted the symbolic link I think? and It wouldn't run and I got the error message attached (sims is already running). The format of the drive is Mac OS Extended (journaled). And I want all the data to be held on the external hard drive.

Merged your posts into the master symlink thread. Please see the opening post. Near the bottom are a list of reasons why you may be getting the "already running" error. Check through them then come back if you still haven't figured it out.
