When Loading Save, Game Returns to Neighborhood Select Screen

This issue is caused by many script mods broken by the 19 August patch. Fixing this issue is down to modders, not EA, which is not responsible for updating mods. Please start at the patch 1.117 Broken/Updated Mods & CC topic for known, tested broken mods, updated mods, and mods cleared by their creators as patch-compatible. You can follow that topic to receive notifications of frequent updates. 

Not every broken script mod is listed yet in the patch 1.117 Broken/Updated Mods & CC topic. Many have not been tested yet. Use only script mods that are updated or cleared as compatible with the patch. Any others could be broken. 

Please do not report a mod as broken unless you have tested with only that mod and any mods the mod download page says it requires. Please recheck the list before reporting. It is updated frequently.

If removing your Mods AND trashing the localthumbcache.package file AND repairing the game doesn't fix the issue, please test a clean game:

1. Make sure your game is closed
2. Rename your Sims 4 folder, just add OLD or something, doesn't matter
3. Repair the game in EA App/Steam, whichever client you use
4. Launch the game so a new Sims 4 folder is created and absolutely none of your user data is loaded into the game. Your user data is safe in the TS4 folder you renamed
5. Start a new save with a new household, not one downloaded from the gallery
6. Move them onto a lot and test whether the issue still happens
7. If it doesn't then quit the game and trash that new save
8. COPY one of your saves from the old renamed Sims 4 > saves folder into the new Sims 4 > saves folder
   
9. Launch the game and attempt to play the save

If it still happens in a new clean game please copy/paste the contents of the most recent, post patch LE here. But ONLY if it happens in a new clean game, not a modded game.
