Mods Folder Issues

With the new update a lot of my mods were causing weird issues with the game. So rather than going through and checking each mod, I just deleted the entire mods folder. However, all of the mods are still showing up in game. I've fully uninstalled the sims 4 multiples and fully uninstalled EA once. It's still giving me this issue. Also, "the sims 4 folder" under documents --> Electronic Arts, is missing.
