I played for the first time in a few months yesterday, for hours with no issue. Went to open it back up today…not able to.
removed the mods folder and deleted the thumbnail cache. Didn’t change anything. Please help.
deskatrich91 This sounds like an antivirus-related issue. It could be something else, of course, but that's the place to start: by setting exceptions inf your AV for TS4_x64 and TS4_Launcher_x64, and also TS4_DX9_x64 if you use DirectX 9 mode. Set one for EADesktop.exe as well.
If you're not sure how to set exceptions, the online documentation for your antivirus should include instructions. Or you can use this guide for a few common programs, including Windows Defender:

Was able to load one of the scenario sims. But the house was invisible. If I drew walls they disappeared.
