Packs installed but show up as not owned in-game

I have a lot of the packs and when I went to play today they all were missing. I repaired the game, took all my mods out, cleared the cache, don't have the cas demo installed. How do I get my packs to show up again?

Heya, yeah on the EA app and on the sims4 it says I do not own any packs or kits. Thank you for the help!

  • imhypm63nvb3  The packs look like they're installed in the correct location.  Since it's simple, please clear the EA App's cache:

    https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/faq/clear-cache-to-fix-problems-with-your-games/

and repair the game again, specifically in that order, then see whether your packs load.

If that doesn't help, close the EA App and kill the EABackgroundService in the Task Manager.  Go here:

    C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 4

and delete the EP01 folder directly inside.  Then open the App and reinstall Get to Work, and see whether it loads in-game now.

Lynnseyspader  Please see the first post and accepted solution of this master thread:

and post in that thread if you need further help.

Ecilanna16x  Do your packs appear as owned and installed in the EA App, under Sims 4 > Manage > Manage add-ons?  If so, please use that link above as well.  If the packs are NOT listed as owned, please see the accepted solution of this thread instead, and post there for further help.

  • I'm having the exact same problem as well!  I've tried everything but nothing is working! I have over 10 packs, kits, etc. and it says all of them are "not owned".  I've been trying to find a solution for over 6 hours now!

Yes, it shows up as installed when I click manage add ons.

  • imhypm63nvb3  Do your packs show as owned and installed in the EA App, under Sims 4 > Manage > Manage add-ons?  If not, stop here and let me know.

Otherwise, please run searches for two or three of your missing packs.  Open a File Explorer window, click This PC in the left panel, and enter the folder name for one of the missing packs in the search field in the upper-right corner.  This is the full list of packs:

    https://sims4.crinrict.com/eng/extras-2/available-packs-dlc/

For example, if you're looking for Seasons, you'd search for EP05 .  Wait for the search to finish, then make sure the full file path is showing under each result.  If it's not, expand the window sideways as necessary.  Take a screenshot using Windows key-shift-S and attach it to a reply here.  Then repeat for one or two more packs.
