Chelsea3abc This isn't normal and shouldn't be intentional. The usual fix is to clear the EA App's cache and repair the game. Unfortunately, repairing will update at the same time, and even just clearing the cache may mean you can't play offline without playing online once first. So the only other thing I can suggest is to give it some time to (hopefully) resolve itself.
I saw somewhere else that repairing may fix it but I understand I can’t repair without updating (which I’m trying to currently avoid) 🙄 how frustrating that we can’t even play our games atm
