Purple plants

I've been having an issue with my trees and plants that are not sheltered and grown outside turning a dull purple color instead of green. It happens whether the plant is in or out of season. It also happens with decorative plants from build buy mode. Has anyone else had this issue? 

I play on pc and I use mods.
