Hello, I have been having the same issue with my sims crashing me after creating a new household trying to enter into a lot or after modifying a sim in cas as I'm saving that edit. I've just tried the checks you suggested someone else to run, after doing both commands I received this message and the picture is from the the sfc /scannow command. I'm going to try running my game again and see if it crashes or not
Update It crashed my game before I could load into my household :( I'm going to try running a clean boot, pulling my mods folder to desktop then see if it still does it after that. But this has never happened before until after the latest update no matter the broken/corrupt mods I had in game!!!
choclebity I've split your posts into their own thread because the other thread was a bit old and not necessarily about the same underlying problem. Please test with no mods or custom content at all, as in, move the Mods folder to the desktop and delete localthumbcache.package. You don't need to save your progress. If the game works with no mods or cc, you have your answer.
If you get another crash, please provide a dxdiag. Hit Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop. From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
