Sims 4 Flashing White screen on Startup through EA Play

Whenever I open my game, it says not responding in the corner and then the screen  will flash white and I have to stop it with task manager or I just see the spinning circle. I have reinstalled, cleared out my documents folder, and repaired through the EA app. I attached the dx diag file like similar issues.

    I was able to fix this issue by editing the Sims 4 shortcut on my desktop by adding -dx9 after the quotes in the target in the shortcut properties.
