Hi everyone,I'm running into an issue when I try to load my most recent save in The Sims 4. The game launches fine from the EA app, but when I click the Resume button to go back into my most recently accessed save file/household, I get stuck on an infinite loading screen.As a troubleshooting step, I moved the Sims 4 folder from my Electronic Arts folder to my desktop and was able to launch a new game successfully. However, I’d really like to get back to my established save, as I've been building and playing in these worlds for generations and have put a lot of work into customizing my Sims and their lots. I also don’t use any CC or mods, so those aren’t causing the issue.Any advice on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Hi, facing the same issue of infinite loading screen. Tried the Load Game option for another family and managed to load the game, without cc and mods. Then I tried to add Tray, Mods etc back and same infinite loading screen issue cropped up again. Could not load any family at all even with Load Game. How now... 😩

pupkwt This has been a problem since the For Rent patch, although some lots only broke later. The only good workaround is to place the lot without furniture, unfortunately. Although if you can load the house with furniture in build mode, you could do some experimenting: delete one room at a time to see which ones contain items that cause infinite loading. You might even be able to figure out the exact items that are a problem if you're patient enough. Then again, you might not even be able to do anything after placing the lot with furniture, as is the case for many players. When that happens, there's nothing you can do except wait for a future patch to possibly fix the problem.

Hello, also affected by this issue, what i noticed that few buy/build cc was causing that so i removed it, but still i have the issue that if i travel for example from Selvadorada to SAn Sequoia it gets stuck again with the loading issue.Just thinking this maybe be related with the Reaper's challenge? i heard there was issues with traveling while doing the challengeThank you!

Hi, thanks for your help! After testing and restarting alot of times, I've narrowed down the problem to two lots. Both of which were occupied. I managed to move the families out and they are playable in other lots, so I think the problem boils down to the houses within these two lots.I can enter these two lots when they are empty of furniture. But when I try to replace the lot with an older version (with furniture, that I saved from a long time ago in my library) I get stuck at the same infinite loading screen when I try to re enter. Could it be the placement of the objects that is causing this problem rather than the object itself? My game seems to be recently updated by Steam. This problem happened right after. Im not sure if that played a part.

N3verShiningSun Is there any pattern to which lots or saves are affected? Some lots are broken or prone to breaking, but that is of course not the only source of error. Please let me know if you'd like further help, and in that case, describe any pattern you see.

Please also test without mods or custom content, if you normally use any. You don't need to save your progress, but it's important to weed out mod-related issues.

Just confirming that Red Roan Field (64x64) in Chestnut Ridge crashes for me after placing different builds to choose from. I can get away with the first 1 or 2 builds I place, but after maybe 3 or 4 builds, my game gets stuck in the "place lot" mode with endless loading. Ultimately I have to close in Task Manager.
No mods besides the Color Sliders and More Columns (all current), but even without mods, a new save, new TS4 folder, different builds, the same happens.

I have the same issue, it looks to have started after recent update or update before.

Basically when saving, the icon in middle indicating saving, spins, then after some time the game freezes with no recovery. There was one time it recovered but I do not know how. This happens after playing ~30minutes into the game. If you launch game and play for ~15minutes and save, it works. But the longer you play, the higher chance it will not save and freeze. One of the indications is FPS, if everything is OK, it runs ~30 FPS, the more you play, it drops to ~15 FPS and you can understand it will not save.

Croft-sp18 Just as a test, please try a new save, still with no mods or custom content. (Move the Mods folder to the desktop.) If the new save is fine, save your main household to the in-game Library and place them in a new save, again as a test, and let me know how that save runs.

I follow ur recommendations and moved my family to a new lot, i furnished the house with only game objects and no CC and works kind of. I am able lo enter the family but when i try to save it gets stucked with the 'saving' screen but also if i go to the Worlds it gets stuck in the loading screen.
Here desperate since is one of my legacy families... 🥲

Hey, thank you! I do have some HEL STUDIO in my game, but I managed to fix it, and for me it was the 'Cowbuild Family Kitchen' CC pack. However, I'll look through my cc folder and remove HEL STUDIO items to prevent any major catastrophe from occurring!

Hey Love, Chyna here! LOL. During my 6 Days i had issues with this and i found out its a furiture mod by " Hel Studio" I removed all his mods and it got me out the stucked screen. if you have "HEL STUDIO" Mods, Remove and update!

Do you know the specific cc that was causing this issue? I'm currently having a similar problem. After the L&D major update, I could load without any issues into my household lot. After the November 7th patch, I can't load into that specific lot. Moved my family to another lot and could load into it without issues, but once I move them back into this original lot, I get stuck on an infinite loading screen. All my mods have been updated too so that might not be an issue.

I fixed. It was because of furniture cc but then like a day later the problem just kept coming back. This problem has only been occuring on a my Residental Rental lot.
