Sims 4 Lovestruck DLC isn't working

Ok, so basically I've had the sims 4 for years now and I have it installed through EA. I do use custom content but I've removed it for the sake of seeing if it would fix things and my lovestruck DLC is still broken. I redeemed the DLC via a code and I feel like EA isn't actually registering it for some odd reason even though it did let me redeem the code on the EA App. I have already attempted to clean re-install the sims and the EA app and I'm so stumped on this. I also have this weird thing when I look at add-ons where it shows my other packs and stuff as installed while the lovestruck DLC is shown as in-game content but I'm not sure if that's normal or not. Anyone know anything that might fix this? In game it also shows I dont own the expansion as well.

    It sounds like you may have redeemed a code for the preorder content only, and not the full DLC. If you didn't receive another code from the retailer, you'll need to contact that retailer directly for a replacement code or refund.
