Sims 4 wont load Steam DLCs

Lgndofthestar​  It sounds like the EA-owned packs might not be installing into the correct location.  Please see the first post and accepted solution of this thread for more details:

If you run the search described in the first post and aren't sure what you're looking at, feel free to provide screenshots, as described.

I fixed the "content file locked" issue by reinstalling TS4 without any dlc. I never owned two sets of the basegame I purely owned it in steam with some DLC in EA. The EA dlc downloads into the game fine, but upon reinstalling the STEAM DLC it still wont load into the game.

Lgndofthestar​  Do you have any other Steam games installed?  If not, please uninstall and reinstall Steam.  Doing so would remove installed Steam games, at least if you haven't changed the location of the game library, so don't do this if reinstalling anything would be a burden.

If that doesn't help, or you don't want to have to reinstall other games, try changing the location of your Steam game library and downloading Sims 4 to that location.  Here's how:

Then try again to install Sims 4.

Once this is sorted out, you'll want to uninstall the EA App version of Sims 4, then reinstall only the packs you own in the EA App, not another copy of the base game.  You should be able to do this under Sims 4 > Manage > Manage add-ons.

Steam now wont let me redownload the sims. Unrelated to EA itself, but it says Content Files Locked upon reinstalling
