- I have also bought pretty much every premium item and now that I think about it I barely notice a difference. So I basically paid close to 50 bucks for nothing I guess. Thanks EA...
- Before I get into my findings, I wanted to point out that the conformity bonus does not explicitly state what it applies to. Since all the components of the bonus are related to buildings, I think it is quite possible the bonus is not intended to be applied to jobs.
That being said, the numbers still don't add up and the premium item percentage isn't stacking correctly.
My premium stuff:
Hammock .25
Burning bush (x3) 1.5
Bench .25
White fence (x11) .55
Orange tree .5
Total 3.05%
Conformity bonus 5%
Total 8.05%
I checked several 1 hour jobs which should give 70xp and instead gave 74xp which is a 5.7% increase.
However, 70*1.05=73.5 which rounds to 74. This indicates that the premium bonuses aren't being used at all, only the conformity.
EDIT: actually, this works with ops numbers as well.
1.035*70= 72.45, which rounds to 73
1.035*135= 139.725, rounding to 140
1.035*420= 434.7, rounding to 435
VERY DISAPPOINTING! Feel really bad for those that bought premium items purely for percentage increases. I wonder if this is a recent glitch or if it has always been present? - Hello Guys,
i just started the same thing on XP rating, and it just is the same here.
W= Written
S= Should
I= Is
Krusty, make himself important
$ W225, S263, I234 (+3,5%)
XP W55, S64, I58 (+6%) - update: all other XP quests i tested are the same result. 3-5% XP isntead of 17%
details will follow.
i would wonder if EA has not seen this before... - Did you read my edit in my last post? I tested all the numbers in your initial post and the increase was exactly the same as your conformity bonus (3.5% exactly in all cases). My results and the other guy who gave some numbers on the first page confirm this, although our bonuses were at 5%.
The premium items are granting no bonuses, and only the conformity bonus is actually being used. - He Kenny,
thanks for brining it on the point.
So no guessing more - the premium items just do not work. So this is not only a bug, it is also a
official term. we call it "payments for services not rendered".
EA has not delivered what we payed for - clearly - and only because that is a mobile game , that doesn't mean that they can ignorer that.
I tried to call the hotline... muhahahah...

I DIAL THE NUMBER , I DO NOT SAY IT - how can they get it wrong ?
are you kidding me ?
I checked this official forum , and i did not found a single offical post.
Its not so difficult to see what is going on here. - For all we know it might be a very recent bug that crept in the programming. If it HAS been around for a while, it's pretty crazy that out of who knows how many thousands of players, you seem to be the only one who noticed!

I did not perform so rigorous an analysis as you did, kenney, but I did look at the percent increase in money and xp earned for various tasks in my own town and found that it was, in fact, in excess of the conformity bonus by a substantial amount, leading me to believe that my premium items *were* having an effect. Of course, this was admittedly 2-3 weeks ago, and I have not re-checked since the Halloween update.- I have never claimed to be a math expert, or even good, so I may be wrong here, but taking what you just said
40 +3.5%+14.24% = 41.5 rounded to 42, I guess I do not follow
40 * 14.25% = 5.7
40 * 3.5% = 1.4
So from what you are saying wouldn't it be 40 + 1.4 + 5.7 = 47.1 rounded 47 or am I doing something wrong? mdfriend wrote:

I agree. Maybe I'm being a complete math dunce, but I'm not following Kalns at all.
