After the Sept 18 update, all the books in my bookcases disappeared, and they continue to disappear. Also, the homework books keep disappearing and students have to buy a new one each day.
No issues with other inventory items and I have no mods.
Has there been a fix for this yet as its really effecting me game i cant go to uni because the presentation board disappears and all the homework! its really frustrating i cant have leftovers in the fridge and i f i collect anything outside the house its gone when i get home
Have you both tested a fresh folder as suggested in my earlier post ?
I updated my game yesterday and I now have that issue too. The books I buy via the bookcase are there until the next day where they disappear from the bookcase, the sim's inventory or the house itself, they are nowhere to be found. It's the same with my children's homework. All the books needs to be bought again every single day and for the homework each child needs to buy their own homework from the bookcase to be able to do the homework task. If I buy many homework books and try to distribute them, it doesn't work, the pile can be open but I can't take 1 book out of the pile.. it keeps resetting back into the pile....
I have the same issue. Also with leftovers in the fridge that were there before the update - they have all disappeared.

Try the following
- Close the game
- Rename Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 to Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4_Old
- Repair the game
- Start the game. All your content will be gone now as the game created a new folder. All your saves/.. is still in the old folder so not to worry.
- Start a new save game
- Check if you still have the error
- Report back with your results for further steps on how to get your stuff back.
