I click "Water All" and the Sims goes to the plant and does nothing. The queue prompt simply disappears. I've tried this with multiple Sims. "Tend Garden" also doesn't allow plants to be watered. This is game-breaking because it means without cheats/debug gardens are untenable. Without the ability to grow gardens, it breaks several aspects of gameplay.

I have this problem with plants in the planter box. No mods or cc. Really annoying.
I found it to only occur in large planters it doesn’t occur in small, vertical or just plants in the ground. I play on ps5
I find it only occurs in large planters, small and in ground watering is fine. It happens in all my household and I play on ps5 so no mods or cc
I don't know why my sims wont water any plants, I do not have any script mods on. The gardener will not do it either. My plants keeping dying and the rain doesn't count as watering the plants I don't know how to fix this.
Every time I try to get my sim to water any plant in any plant (Inside, Outside, in a pot or in the ground.) It won't work. I click on the plant and try to use every option possible. Water plant, Water all, Tend garden but my sim walks up to it and does nothing. The game just drops the action from the que and the plant remains not watered. I tried to hire a gardener and a butler but they also can't water it. Either way I paid for this game and I should be able to just play it the way it is intended. I looked at similar posts but did not find a solution or anyone with the same exact watering problem.
I am using pc. When the problem first started I didn't have mods but I added one after to try and fix it but it doesn't work so well. I have tried to Repair and Uninstall and Reinstall. I have other problems too like my island living pack won't let me fish from the signs and when it rains it looks like it is raining inside the house even though it's not. I will probably have to make a separate post for those but this entire game is becoming unplayable. 😭

I still have this issue, but it seems like some children are able to fully tend the plants, to their limited ability.
However, I just read in the business and hobbies QOL patch they released they fixed an issue where customers will water plants when that activity is set.... Could it be a coding issue where they've maybe accidently set it so Sims will ONLY water plants when this activity is on, even if they're not in any clubs or set activities? Maybe worth a look into from a EA? :)
This is happening to me too. My game was working normally with my Sims plants in their beds. Once I added their first greenhouse to move some into. The older beds are still working, however the new beds I added along with the expansion are the ones in buggy distress. I have tried to restart the game, computer, and tried repair, but that has not solved the problem.
The weird thing is I have kept two beds outside, one new and older, the new one is also having the problem but this certainly happened since after making the greenhouse. That may not be weird, but it is annoying, because this was supposed to be a simple expansion to my Sim's flower-arranging business as she needed. I was switching her into pottery anyway, but this is a distraction of my thinking process.
Plants which are growing in the Garden Planter Box, Hand Fashioned Planter Box, Mounded In-Ground Garden Patch, and In-Ground Garden Patch can be watered successfully.
