This is happening to me too but also my Sims can't even clean up the messes themselves. They just pick up the trash, stand there for a second, and set it back down.
Like I genuinely dont know a single player who makes their sims manually pick up their dishes. Id be here for 10 min IRL forcing them and re-queueing them to clean up after themselves.
I make kids and teens take out the trash and do dishes so they increase either responsibilities or manners. But when I don't have that, I usually have to do it because my sims and/or the maid just picks them up and sets them down. If the sims won't do it and we as players can't do it...we are doomed to have stinky houses!
