Drag No Longer Working for several objects

Mine started out like this but now it has evolved. Before I had to tell my sims to clean up but now when I tell them to it says there are no bins or sinks on the lot. I deleted the sinks and bins and put in new ones, then extras and it still says the same. I even tried getting a dishwasher and told them to load it and it said there was nothing to load into it whilst I have dirty plates everywhere....Also have the whiteboard issue, unable to sell paintings or pottery, and sims coming home from school/work if I leave the lot and come back or even just **bleep** into cas. All since the update except the sims coming home, that started before the update. I'm playing on pc with no mods
