[LD] Edith the Ghost Replaced by Random Sim

I was trying to communicate with Edith, then she just “walked” away and despawned & a random sim popped up right next to the well. He was standing really weird inside the ground with his knees weirdly bent, when I clicked him it had the options that Edith has (my game is in Swedish) and when I tried to communicate, he shrieked at me like Edith does and my sim ran away. So it was like he was the “new Edith’

Just had this happen too! Mac, up to date patch, all packs installed including Enchanted By Nature. 

"Attempt to communicate" - Edith/Alena gets down to child-height

My Edith became a different character. You can still ask her for her mark, she performs the same functions, but now she's a man. I several times restarted the map, restarted the game and did a file check and also tried to disable mods. in another save the problem remained too. the problem appeared after the latest updates.

After the latest patch Edith in Ravenwood gets replaced by a random townie, who is not a child or a ghost. I've tried recovering a save and even loading a new game or a different save, but Edith always gets replaced within a sim day. No mods / CC.

I have the same problem. I have no mods or cc. I play on a 2023 ASUS Tuff Gaming F15 laptop with nothing but Sims 4 on it. Edith was there when I got there but immediately disappeared after I spoke to her and was replaced by some guy. I would post screenshots but I don’t see the option.

I had the same exact problem. I fixed it by going into manage world and finding the household with the random sim who replaced Edith and deleted him. Then I went back into my game and called Edith to my lot and then she went back to her place at the well. I'm assuming you'd have to have made contact with her before the issue so she's in your relationship window. But maybe you could summon her if you have mccc. 

My sim went to visit the well in Ravenwood and i could not find Edith. There was, however, a random townie just standing there. I clicked them and all of Edith's interactions were on this sim! I do play with mods but it wasn't a mods issue as I removed the mods and tried again and she was still 'Edith.'

It has been funny, I've experienced the same issue. But, in my game, when my sim arrived to the well of Longing and Regret, it was Edith herself who was standing near the well. Suddendly, a townie popped up and Edith penetrated into her. After that, it was the townie who my sim had to interact. Weird or funny?
