Issue
When trying into a lot, you are greeted by load error 800/801. Buildings start to disappear and you also get endless loading.

Ideas
I opened my game to find my Sims on an empty lot - the lot where they live, but the house and everything on the lot had disappeared. I quit without saving and rebooted the game, and the house is still gone. Later, I went to visit the lounge in Innisgreen and the same thing happened - the lot is cleared and empty, no lounge to be found.
