[PC/MAC] Cannot Load Into Lots after Aug 19 Update

Just restarted my computer 20 times trying to play the sims 4. It's been two days of me not having time to play due to adulting, so I was really looking forward to play... My game is literally unplayable. I am able to load as far as the main menu, and I can choose a save to load, but I cannot load any lots. When attempting to load a lot, it sends me back to the town menu. I also see a notice that says "The game failed to load. It is recommended that you relaunch your game." Pleaseeeee fix this immediately!!

I don't want to be mean, but I really want to be mean. Updates are not supposed to cause problems They're supposed to fix them. I haven't been able to play properly since the most recent expansion pack. I even tried to see if I did a new save and it wouldn't work. I took out all my mods. I reset all my settings.

This update was supposed to fix bugs and improve gameplay experience, but instead it just created EVEN MORE PROBLEMS!!! Like seriously, we shouldn’t have to deal with all this extra fixing stuff coz some of us aren’t exactly tech savvy, you know?! It’s exhausting! Every single update ends up breaking my game and my saves 😩I guess this is the end of my Sims 4 era…

updated my game and after I tried loading it up I couldn't get into my household, it kept going out to the worlds map. I've tried reloading my game like 10 times and nothing.

My game will not load in my households. I tried making a new save file and it did not work. I turned off my scripted mods, after seeing another simmer say it made their game work but then my game crashed to white screen. 

I've tried repairing my game and have turned off mods all together. I was still able to access CAS and Buildmode I just wasn't able to actually play my sims game.

I've removed any broken mods as well but nothing seems to help.

I am also having the "boot to world selection after pressing play" glitch as everyone else with and without mods.

I have auto updates turned off, and it still updated without my consent. And now I no longer have access to saves that are precious to me, for a game that I OWN. Why does EA not acknowledge or respect the concept of consent?

Same problem here, with or without mods, I keep getting bumped back to the select world screen.

Game was fine yesterday and played for awhile today, but something went of the tracks when I changed saves. 

So frustrating. I have tried going through my mods folder, and then just today tried the method offered of renaming your old folder to create a new sims 4 folder, repaired my game, and booted it back up.

Even with no mods, no saves, nothing in it, the game took over half an hour to load me into a lot, and even when it did load me in the game was utterly unplayable, severely laggy, and essentially impossible to do anything with. I have no idea what to do from here. It doesnt look like any last exceptions popped up, as I do not see any in the new Sims 4 folder, but the game is still utterly unplayable. Like, for reference, with a Mods/CC folder of 55 GB, my game prior to this update was still loading lots within 10 minutes max. 

Same thing happening to me. I can edit a household and it will take me into CAS but if I try to load into the lot on live mode it just does a loading screen and takes me back to the world selection page. If I keep doing it it just loops forever in the "pick a world" and main menu. I literally cannot play with my sims or my saves :(

EA is so evil for this, I just wanna be able to PLAY the game. At this point I'd prefer a broken game with rain indoors than only CAS and main menu... I don't know how or why a freckles and wrinkles update could completely **bleep** up the entire game like this.
