this error wiped my 2 year legacy when for rent came out and I was reading like 5 year old posts with the same error code. Nobody had a solution then, nobody has a solution now. Can we not agree save file integrity is the biggest most non negotiable absolute priority, why has this issue not been openly acknowledged by the sims team?
I also just want to know that this is actively being fixed and that it's a priority bug right now. I started a brand new vanilla save file and spent weeks on it before I was aware of this bug, and was just totally disheartened when I finally went to play and noticed that a bunch of lots just wouldn't load, or couldn't be edited, or just had any number of bizarre issues. Whole save file dead, just like that. No way to fix, nothing to prevent it except to just not play the game like it's meant to be played because if I put too many items or sims in the game it can break it. That's an insane bug, and releasing another pack before this is fixed is even crazier. I love the idea of the new pack and would probably really enjoy it, but I don't know how I'm supposed to if my game can break any second while I'm playing.
I too would like to know this. I contacted EA support months ago and requested a refund for For Rent and they assured me that this bug would be fixed and so a refund was not warranted.
