I have disabled it, yes, though I waited a long time because I was reassured a fix was on the near horizon.
At this point, I'm inclined to join the many others who have abandoned the game altogether. If this really is a bug that dates back 2015 and is further exacerbated by each update and addition of DLC without a fix in sight, then it's probably best for me to view it as unsupported and spend my time and money elsewhere.
As someone who has been playing The Sims since its release 25 years ago, it's incredibly disappointing that EA continues to release new DLC without first fixing the issue that is affecting so many loyal customers.
I appreciate you, Crinrict. Thank you for your constant support and updates. I imagine this might feel like just another bug that the community is complaining about, but really do value the time and energy you've put into responding even when you don't have hopeful news to share.
