[PLEASE READ] Save Game Corruption

I have completely removed For Rent (a pack I purchased at full price) from my game due to losing so many save files and corruption that made them unplayable. I am still skeptical even after not using the For Rent pack that my saves will be affected. I have lost saves that I spent years building. Family trees that had multiple generations. Some of the main reasons for me to play the Sims 4 was my family heritage. Adding the issue to a "laundry list" is basically a slap in the face. I have been playing The Sims since it was The Sims! I couldn't even add all the money i have spent and to have a pack that i bought that i am unable to play and that has caused such mass destruction altering the entire gameplay for me and many others is unacceptable. Fix this or refund our money and stop selling this pack EA! I mean it makes no sense.

Please read the messages here. The bug is much older and it’s not caused by The Rent. Yes, even if you removed it you can still have corrupted save.
They really need to fix it. - Eliza-Flamcakes2 months agoSeasoned Scout
Wow, we have the same story! My first big purchase as a teenager was a computer I bought so that I could play The Sims. I've been a loyal player and defender of Maxis/EA ever since, all throughout the performance issues of TS3, the controversies around DLC models pricing, and the disappointment that many players felt when the lifestages were so limited during TS4's initial release. I honestly felt that the TS4 product was balanced and that the team had been generous in its buildout of free features. I'm so incredibly disappointed in this situation and agree that it feels like a bit of a slap in the face.

At this point I honestly feel like I am a paying employee of EA. We purchase packs at full price and then we're the ones that have to report all the bugs to them that we find in our games. This is what employees do. This is what a quality screening system handles. So instead of putting out packs just to keep your shareholders happy why don't you actually test these expansions with all of the DLC so that you can have a quality product? I haven't played my game in a over a month. I did not purchase the new pack. I've given EA so much of my money. I am so over this shady and exploitative way that they do business.
