Ever since this new update, I have noticed that after hours and hours of building, and after I save my progress throughout, when I think it's saved and I exit the game and reenter at another time, the houses completely disappear. They don't save! I have lost 3 houses in the last 48 hours because of this. I have cleared the cache and checked for broken mods, I have even deleted all my mods and tried that way, but it's not the mods. It's the new update that messed up my game. There's no point in playing when the save option doesn't work.
I also have another issue: I cannot use the search option in either build or buy mode, as it has been crashing the game. lets see if we can fix two birds with one stone ;)
These are the images from the game. The first and second one shows that there should be a house on the lot and what the challenges are. When you click on the lot, as shown in Pic 2 (smaller image), the house disappears and has to be rebuilt, as seen in the top picture. I'm not sure what's going on. These images go with the original request above.

Do you have issues on a new save too ? Did you already try a folder rename ?
