Im having few of these issue all in one save idk what to do. I read through some of these threads but there isnt a fix! No.2, No.3, No.4 No.7. I tried repairing the game and starting with a new save folder doesnt work.
I cant play the game. no matter what I do -- they sims do not do anything I direct them too- it lags- i spend a long time on builds, they function as dead. It's amazing how much they keep adding gameplay it literally takes away all the gameplay. I try to just play fairies bc usually its formulated that nothing works but the new pack- still impossible.I spend the whole time on long loading screens- trying to fix the game. nothing works. I feel more bored playing this game than chores. thats how bad it is.
Use memory booster it is great performance and safe
I'm not agree about memory booster. I thought it would be a good solution, so I abandoned my corrupted save file, uninstall all, install again TS4, start a brand new save with memory boost and the corruption start earlier than others time... And for earlier I mean: instantly... 😩😤
I’m pretty sure the only way out of it is to erase every single file from ts4 and download it all over again without any old saves, mods etc. As far as I understand, the bug causes the game to destroy itself from the inside. Once one save gets corrupted, every other and new one will too… the reason why I stopped playing ts4 altogether, I don’t think it’s worth trying to save a game that basically isn’t even made for playing…
From the perspective of someone who has been dealing with this bug for a long time, I’ve never found any real correlation between corrupted saves and the game itself. Corruption doesn’t spread to other saves or to the game files—it’s just a rumor that causes unnecessary panic in the community.
Save corruption can be related to lots downloaded from the Gallery (especially those packed with too many items), rental units, and even mods that add new gameplay features (the same goes for CC).
When it comes to mods and CC, in my honest opinion, mods aren’t that big of a deal. Once a mod is outdated, the game immediately shows you that it no longer works, so you either update it or delete it. Once removed, the game recognizes that and leaves no trace of the mod behind. CC, however, is a different story. Since CC is an item—and corruption can be tied to the amount of items—once you delete it, the game still leaves traces of those missing objects. That’s why we see shadows of items where CC used to be, infinite loading screens when entering lots, or Sims with “?” symbols on their bodies where CC once was.
Save corruption is not a virus.
