[PLEASE READ] Save Game Corruption

Hi guys,
For those of you regularly hit by this (especially non-mod users), how many of you have onedrive/icloud enabled or play with the user files in the cloud or just don't have it disabled ?
I don't know exactly how console works with stuff so I'm not going to go into this.
Here's a little background why I'm asking:
Please take everything with a grain of salt but maybe it can help those of you looking into this issue to narrow stuff down. I personally don't have time.
As some of you know, trying out memory boost managed to destroy my save completely as all the households/ got deleted. I narrowed that down ransomware protection blocking my user files with the new exe file. The game started but the files from the save could not be extracted to the scratch folder as that was blocked, leading to all houses and household to be removed from the game. If I had saved in this state, my game would have been toast.
Now, I did some further testing with the scratch folder and Sims4Studio.
Sims4Studio has these zone object data entries
One for every lot. Corrupted lots have a size of 9B (aka 9 bytes) (EXCEPTION: Residential Rental/Apartment that aren't the main entry also have that size and that's not a problem. All the objects for that are saved in the master lot)
Now the scratch folder has the same files and if you open one of your corrupted saves, you should see the same 9B entries. The size also can tell you which of these correspond to which in entry in Sims4Studio. This help you to know which file is which lot (it's all rounded up so if you have multiple with the same size, you need to test it out)
Now one problem is that you can happily delete these files while you are playing and to my knowledge, onedrive will sync them .. also while you are playing. I'm by no means saying that is the main cause of everything, it's just something that I found while checking some corrupted saves and my own problem I had the other day.
If you then load into a lot, it will be gone. Now save and they are gone in your save too.
Again, these are all just observations from my side. Food for thought for all of you. I never fully looked into this nor had my own saves go bad (mine are usually not big or old cause I mostly just start new saves all the time.
I am curious how your systems are set up and would absolutely turn off cloud saving for Sims in oneDrive. There's nothing but issues with it (I also don't know anything about icloud and mac, that's Bluebellflora field of expertise)

One thing I noticed about OneDrive is that even if you uninstall the app, it still appears as though your save files are somehow synced to the cloud — which isn’t true.
To fix this, I had to reinstall OneDrive, sync everything again, and then manually unsync it in the settings. After doing that, the Electronic Arts folder (and therefore the save files) were no longer linked to the cloud. I strongly recommend others do this before fully uninstalling OneDrive.
Now, regarding the Memory Boost feature, it completely destroyed all the small businesses I had created — around 15 to 20 of them. I managed to recreate them, but it’s been a lot of work, which is frustrating.
And after the Memory Boost update, some lots became completely broken, even though they were fine before. The only solution I found was to delete them using Sims4Studio and replace them with entirely different ones. I basically had to rebuild the worlds of Tomarang and Gibbi Point from scratch because some neighborhoods became inaccessible.
Interestingly, this all happened in my forever save file, one I am still setting up and hadn’t even started playing yet.
I’m currently using no mods or CC.
