I will try to save builds to the gallery or save builds from the gallery (it happens both ways) and it will sometimes fail to do so. When it does, it either will let me click out of it and try again ...

could you please post names/creator of items you're trying to download ?
It happens with so many creators, it’s not limited to specific creators or any pattern of creator behavior that I’ve noticed. It happens trying to save or download my own builds too.
I did notice it happening at a higher frequency when trying to download special lots, like the high schools, auditoriums, university commons. And I think residential rental lots, but less so than the special lots.
