Idea for Matchmaking
Im playing Battlefield 2042 a while and i after the release of Battlefield6 i stayed with 2042.But im really bad at Multiplayer so im most of the time in coop,but it is not possibile to get your weapons to T1.So i would find it cool if you could level your weapons and Vehicle and Gadget in coop and first this decision would likely bring back some Players and some Players (me to) would make it happy. So please make it possibile.
Did anyone at DICE actually test Conquest matchmaking in 2025?
Weapon and specialist progression in Battlefield 2042 is fine up to Tier 3 because it can be done against bots. After that, you are forced into PvP matchmaking. The problem is that matchmaking barely works anymore. Not only Conquest, but even Breakthrough often fails to start. You wait for a long time, a few players join, then leave, and the lobby dies again. It genuinely feels like the minimum player requirement is being kept artificially high to reduce server usage in an already low-population game. Why can’t matches start with as few as two players, the same way bot matches work? People who don’t want to wait would actually get into games faster, and those who stay would at least be able to play instead of staring at a matchmaking screen. At this point, preventing people from playing the game they already own feels more damaging than any balance concern. I really hope this isn’t another case of quietly pulling the plug on a dying player base. It may already be late — but actively restricting matchmaking is not how you keep what little life this game still has.battlefield 2042 playlists
I was just wondering not sure why they don't already other than possibly competitive boosting can we get rush as an al time playlist its pretty rare that its available ppl in the portal browser only play against bots there's never really any servers hosting rush game modes.
We need new players , make game free to play for this christmas.
With many major multiplayer titles going free-to-play during the holiday season, this Christmas feels like the perfect opportunity for Battlefield 2042 to do the same. Making the game F2P—even temporarily—would bring in a huge wave of new players, help populate servers across all regions, and give the game a second life when player numbers are clearly struggling. The core gameplay has improved a lot since launch, and a free-to-play period would allow new players to experience that firsthand, rebuild the community, and potentially convert them into long-term players through cosmetics and future content. The peak player count goes to 2500-3000 only , which is a shame for a game franchise like battlefield , please make it free to play for this christmas , so it can boost player count.
Breakthrough Server
At some point Dice is going to need to allow for portal full xp experiences or stop creating more breakthrough servers when the exisiting aren't full to begin with. I am so sick of having a solid server, finish a match hoping to rollover to the next only to sit and wait to fill another server. exit out of that and resart matchmaking and boom! im where i was to begin with. Conquest is trash, most other game modes are trash. Breakthrough is the only true objective match that minimizes the nonsense of the game. please for the love of god just fix the matchmaking for breakthrough, allow more full xp portal servers or idk bring back War Machine so at least we can play vs bots for full xp and have a purpose to play the game. theres no reason to play the game if there arent small goals like weapon tiers or ranks if youve already unlocked everything. for the record, im not paying full price for bf6. i bought bf2042 for nearly full price only for it to be like 7 dollars on a steam sale a month later and it took years for bf2042 to fix half the bugs. ill wait on bf6
empty EU servers and 1 minute countdown
empty EU servers bad map cycle 1 minute countdown is wasy too long to start a match, as if a lobby has gained enough playes during this minute half of the lobby leave .. still no map filter for official match maker no 64 and 128 match maker seperation still reported cheater still run around, just the very blatant aimbotter are banned with an email notificationoptic bloom, visual recoil
has anyone else ever experienced battlefield 2042 with the visual optic bloom where the optic shows you where the bullets are going or something like where the bullets fly alot more straight than what they do today ive only ever seen it once seems as though its something they can activate or deactivate to see how the game plays with more accuracy.
Battlefield 2042 huge input lag/stutter? server issue or game issue?
I played this game back in 2024 and at that time there was no issue like this, so I downloaded this game yesterday and tried to play it but its unplayable. even though FPS is good but there's a heavy input lag/Stutter in game. I'm in Sri Lanka, is it a server problem or client side? I'm using a fiber connection as my internet (I getting stable 300mbps). My pc spec - i7 7700K, 16GB 3000mhz, MSI GTX 1080 8GB, Monitor 3440 x 1440 resolution, and yes there's a huge bottleneck in my configuration but I managed to play this game in low setting. back in 2024 I played in i5 7500 and there was no issue at all. What should I do now? I'm hoping for a fix, Thanks! ❤️

A guy its BaDmAn9655 need to ask you why id counter melee not in the game it is the bades move ever put in a game / but you can also incloud final stand to make it fair for the dowend player to defend his self as the other player comes to hammer him to death / and finaly why cant the sniper class carrie at the least and SMG for god sake come on guys that would make thid game the best ever to me and a few other guys . ps sorr for the miss spelled words thanks agin hope to hear from EA ON THIS
💔 The Fatal Disappointment of Battlefield 2042: A Game That Was Abandoned.
It is with a frustration bordering on indignation that I write about Battlefield 2042. More than a broken game, it has become proof that DICE changed everything we loved and, worse, lost focus on the product it sold to fans. • Gigantic and Empty Maps: They forced a scale of 128 players to fill the space, but what they achieved are long walks, punishing infantry gameplay, and the feeling that the map is only there to be used by vehicles. • The Technical Breakdown: the bugs persist. It is not uncommon for the game to completely freeze and close on its own in the middle of the action, frustrating the player and breaking tradition. But the hardest blow is the feeling of abandonment. Instead of returning and improving the flawed foundation of 2042, we had the clear feeling that the team quickly shifted focus to the development of the next title — the so-called “Battlefield 6”. The consumer of 2042 was left with a finished game. It's a betrayal of trust: we bought a product hoping to see it evolve, but it seems it was just a stepping stone for the next big project.
Unwanted Proximity Melee 2042 | Solution
The Problem I was having an issue where my melee attack (knife) would automatically trigger, whenever I got close to an enemy, even after I had changed the melee button in the settings. There is a Toggle Stick conflict with association to Melee Knife. My Workaround I found a solution that fixed this conflict: First, I changed the Controller Buttons preset to "Alternative." This "Alternative" setting successfully disabled the automatic proximity melee.Please add native support for MOZA AB9 FFB flight sticks (HID/DirectInput)
The game recognizes XInput gamepads but does not detect the MOZA AB9 FFB flight sticks in the aircraft bindings screen. In Windows the device works normally (joy.cpl) and in other sims (MSFS, DCS, X-Plane), so this appears to be a game-side HID/DirectInput mapping gap rather than a driver issue. I have tried launching with only the MOZA device connected, testing with Steam Input on and off, verifying axes/buttons in Windows Game Controllers and other sims, and mapping the sticks as an Xbox controller; additionally, the in-game “unbind” control is not working for me, causing duplicate binds, and it would help to allow unbinding via a normal keyboard key instead of the current three-line icon. Request: please add native HID/DirectInput support for the MOZA AB9 FFB (and similar HOSAS/HOTAS devices) so it appears in the bindings screen and can be mapped per axis and button, and please fix or provide an alternative for the unbind action in the bindings UI. I can provide logs, device details (VID/PID), and short reproducible videos on request.
Iwo Jima Breakthrough 24/7 was really amazing
Hello, I wonder if there's a chance Iwo Jima Breakthrough 24/7 will return. It was so much fun to play that the other maps are now uninteresting. I played Iwo Jima Breakthrough almost every day, and it was one of the best experiences I’ve had in BF2042. Funny timing: my birthday was October 6, and right after that the Iwo Jima rotation and related events ended. Anyway thanks to the devs for that memorable content. I hope the map or a 24/7 rotation like that could come back more often.BF2042 in game XP reduced by upto 50% post BF6 launch. Disgusting.
I have noticed just now that, post BF6 launch, the in game XP of BF2042 for kills, ribbons, objectives, etc has been reduced by upto 50%, to force slow progression, and to make players buy BF6. Shameful. Old / Regular values (without bonus XP weekends, etc): Kills : 50 XP Combat ribbon : 500 XP Sector Defended : 10 XP Holding objective : 10 / 15 XP Securing objective : at teast 10 XP. New values(Post BF6 launch): Kills : 25 XP Combat ribbon : 400 XP Sector Defended : 5 XP Holding objective : 8 XP Securing objective : 8 XP. Some times you are not receiving XP for kills and objectives at all. I have been a BF player since BF3. I remember, EA used to release DLCs for BF3 with stronger/overpowered guns, so that the people with no DLCs used to have weaker options at their disposal, to force them to buy DLCs and now this in case of BF2042, where, the in game XP is reduced by upto 50%. What makes EA think, that they can tamper with the already bought product of people, and make the existing product almost worthless, to make player buy BF6? If this is how EA values its customers, then I am DONE with EA. I was waiting for BF6 reviews before buying it, but now I wont. I will no longer buy any EA product now, because of such insult. I am done. I am attaching screenshots as proof.
