Hybrid server idea
in the new server i noticed some changes that could be good. listen, if theres only one alliance per sector and its forgotten attacks the protection bubble timer at 24 hours or a week is completely irrelevant, it changes nothing in game as most experienced players have popped bubbles by morning of day 2 anyways. now lets face facts with 500 accounts many of which are multis who are we kidding here with this extremely late attempt at promoting pvp the true staple of cnc games. my new hybrid idea takes us from a world of 8 sectors to a world of 4 sectors only. 3 alliances in each all fighting for control and domination of the sector but inter alliance cooperation is still an applicable feature. bullet points here goes the description: 4 sectors 4 hubs 8 required codes per alliance to unlock fortress shield 4 alliances must reach center relatively at the same time to ensure a fair and completely unstable environment, we want pvp or at least i do... NO forgotten attacks UNTIL shield is down surrounding 40+ bases AND fortress attacks but not auto destruct like when its destroyed just those fat asp units rollin through our base would look cool not the most important part of the new idea but...cmon right? sick or not? anyways base movement restrictions based on base level meaning CY MUST be upgraded evenly with CC. the idea behind move restrictions is to keep players behind level 20+ bases until they are large enough in base size to advance. movement should be blocked out until they reach the morale standard of -6 levels so a player should have a level 14 base to take a field in the level 20 base range, you can decide what morale is better thats just an example....stay with me here..... center should be reached within one month... listen now... i heard many players say they cannot invest time into a 3-6 month server as they are already encumbered on a number of others, hope i used that word right. this is the most important part right here: when the server is completed it should be reset as is with the option to choose gdi or nod and a new sector. the fort should be killed only by one alliance but able to be hit by multiple alliances allowing other teams to steal the kill and the win. POI should be sparse spawn areas should contain neutral territory to promote invasion... i was unable to relocate into a sector with my second account after relocating with my first account due to no open spots available. finally we should get some new skins or new description boxes something. show us you care and love us as much as weve loved you for the past 15 years cnc. those big gold badges should come with an auto skin of the max level base so the wcs champs can show off on the battlefield day one. as for me I [eye] personally should be granted unlimited power and unlimited command points with no move or base destruction cooldown. just cause im so fun. now i know this is just a fantasy but could be fun, whatevs tho right? final point maybe this can replace vet server? few more points about things actually listen here with defences, in this new server that just opened NOD has way too much advantage as venoms can shut down a base in 1 wave and 24 hour protection really isnt enough time to research air defences so 48 hours would be better or what would be even better is the next point... stay with me a little longer please this is the best idea yet... defence units upon the destruction of attacking units should be gaining you research points same as when destroying defending units. attacking units should be worth far less cause exploiters but at least it should be some combined with the reduction of rp and cash requirements on defence units and upgrades i think we can make early protection loss not only viable but essential to early control of a server. please do me a favour i know im a cur but if any of this resonates with you please reply if any of you are in need of any kind of explanation on any of these points id be happy to reiterate or delve deeper into any topic just message me here or in the latest server to open at my main account roofer4ever, sincerely this was a dream i had and it played out and it was actually cool i stayed the whole server got whooped but still was fun to watch the big boys have a hard time. thats all i ever wanted you know. the thing is with this game is its been just us for so long theyve made all these changes and didnt realize they kinda patched out new players from being able to compete. and it really is the chance to compete that gives us motivation to continue when i see servers where 10 alliances are all named the same thing it really does break my heart weve fallen so far. wish you all well regardless have a great everything u got goin on peeps.4Views0likes0Commentsshared resources
Can nobody tell me what you lose when share a hit on a base ?? I'm asking because I hit a lvl 58 base with my two accounts just to kill the defence. when I took account of what resources where un touched in the base these was about 12G of resources. But when I killed the base I only received 3 G of resources ?? Can anyone shed a light on this rip off ?? We are experiencing a critical issue on the recently launched world Firestorm 32. According to the official server rules and description, there should be no Forgotten attacks on this world. However, our bases and infrastructure are actively being attacked, damaged, and burned by the Forgotten. It appears that the "Uprising" mechanic or automatic attack scripts are active by mistake, completely overriding the intended ruleset of Firestorm 32.This bug is causing a massive loss of resources and repair time for many players and alliances on this server, ruining the fair-play experience. Please look into the server configuration for Firestorm 32 and disable the Forgotten attacks as promised in the world settings. I have a PC that I've NEVER put online, running Win XP Pro (32-bit version: 5.1.2600 SP3, build: 2600) with an AMD Athlon 64 3700+ Processor, nor will I ever put it on the internet. When trying to run INSTALL.EXE on the CD, I'm getting this message, "Unable to load SETUP.MIX file from CD-ROM disk. Press any key after inserting CD_ROM disc or press ESC to exit." Mind you, the CD is in the drive, which is how I was able to click on the INSTALL.EXE file. With Windows Explorer, I can clearly see the SETUP.MIX file. Hello testers! We will reset PTE on Tuesday, April 21st between 6:00 a.m. UTC and 10:00 a.m. UTC. This means all progress will be deleted and everyone will start from scratch. The configuration will be changed to no Forgotten attacks and no morale malus. Instead, we will test a new feature called "morale boost". In short, it works opposite from what you are used to in terms of the morale mechanic. Your troops gain a boost when fighting against enemies slightly above your offense level. The boost ranges from up to 25% increase, for offenses up to 1 level above, down to 0% boost for an opponent 6 level above yours. These values are subject to change and we will use the PTE to finetune these values depending on your feedback on PTE over the coming days. We thank every tester for their time and effort committed. Has anyone had the same issues while installing the game? When I installed the original C&C The First Decade CD ROM, but when I tried to get the game started, my iMac doesn't seem to support it. The CD ROM box says Windows OS...no Mac so I'm assuming I would need something to make it work. I then went to the EA website and I was able to download and install the EA App and I found the game under "All EA games under one roof" catalog, strategy genre. However, when I select the any of the C&C options, I get the following error when trying to upload the page: "Application error: a client-side exception has occurred while loading http://www.ea.com (see browser console for more information)." Initial views I've received after a short time on the new PTE is that the new setting makes very little or no difference as the bases attacked by players are typically outside the range where the downing of morale of the forgotten bases is effective. At the start of this PTE the players I've discussed this with have been attacking bases 6-7 levels above their offense level. This setting maybe useful where there are no POI's on the world as it provides a boost that POI's typically would provide.
