PC Controller NOT WORKING online - Why it fails and how to temporarily solve it
If you are facing problems with PC controllers and your controller does this: Works perfectly in offline: moments, squad battles, ... At online matches: rivals, tournaments works for a few seconds and suddenly stops working, you can only pass or shoot Then you have the same problem as me. Apparently its caused by some graphic or screen issue, and not by the controller. Here is a temporarily solution that "works" for me: Go to screen settings and limit your fps to 60hz and turn on VSync, this way your controller should work. I say temporarily solution because I don't find this a real solution, I hope they don't spend again 1 month without fixing this like last year. This problem is similar to last year problem that was causing stuttering, lag and fps drop when someone in the match used L1 dribbling, and it was temporarily solved by limiting fps. This should be fixed ASAP, honestly I don't want to play this game with a terrible 60 fps experience, the game looks horrible and doesn't even look like 60 fps, looks that you are playing a **bleep**ty 30fps game in 2012. I WANT TO PLAY WITH MY 165 MONITOR REFRESH RATE. If this does not get fixed it's an absolutely lame and a joke company, how can I be experimenting the same issue that I had on FC 25 (That lasted months of unplayable gameplay) ON THE RELASE DATE OF FC26! Just loaded up the game and tried getting into a kickoff match. All settings on auto, vsync on (but I've tried off too). The game is just running incredible slow in matches. Unlike anything I've seen before. FPS is as high as 105, but it's like I'm playing at 0.25x speed. The game is unplayable for me. Anyone experiencing a similar issue? Cant connect Ultimate team servers. I got “connecting ultimate team is not possible at the moment” message. After trying many times, if I'm lucky, when the UT menu opens, I get the same message again after a long waiting screen. Since this new patch, every match I play on Rivals or any game mode, a few minutes into the game, I get a message saying my opponent has disconnected and a disparity is being reviewed. It kicks me out of the match and doesn't count as played. Has this happened to anyone else? Or is there a solution? For the week leading up to the game, including official communication from EA_Pulsar, and the official Pitch Notes, EAFC 26 on PC was supposed to come out at 1PM BST on the 18th of September. Now, it has changed to Midnight BST on the 19th of September. Is this change real, and if so, why change it AFTER the official announcement. I, like many other users, took Thursday off to be able to enjoy the first day of PAID FOR early access. Why change this so soon before release (less than 48 hours)? Severe FPS Drops (5-10 FPS) in every game mode, even in Menus
Hi, I’ve been running into a major performance issue in EA FC 26 that makes the game literally unplayable for me. I tried to play RUSH, sometimes I get smooth gameplay, but most of the time the framerate suddenly goes to 5–10 FPS from the very beginning of the match. Even worse, when the match ends, the game stays stuck at 5–10 FPS in the menus as well. I tested Rivals and Offline Kick-off, and the same thing happened. This makes no sense because: My system should handle the game fine I play on LOW graphics settings I’ve optimized settings in both NVIDIA Control Panel and AMD software for max performance Other games (FC 25, BF1, BF2042) run smoothly without any issues My specs: Windows 11 16GB RAM AMD Ryzen 5 5600H GeForce RTX 3050 4GB At this point, I can’t properly play any mode. I’d really appreciate if EA could look into this because it feels like a serious optimization problem. I've been playing fifa for years on Xbox, but this year is my first year switching over to PC. When I jumped into ultimate team earlier, I was surprised to see the transfer market locked until I completed a set of objectives. Fair Enough. But then I found those objectives required over 30 games across different modes and tasks. After grinding through around 4 hours of repetitive gameplay, I finally unlocked the transfer market... only to be hit with another restriction: "You've reached your limit on bid/buy actions. Please come back in 1 Day 23 Hours for full access to the transfer market." Are you serious?! I haven't even made a single bid or purchase, and now I have to wait another 2 days just to build a team or sell players. I understand switching platforms comes with some checks, but this feels like an unnecessary punishment for loyal players. I've been playing this game for years, why should changing from console to PC mean I get locked out for days? Is there anyway around this? Has anyone else experienced this issue? If you're on Steam Check your Steam library — content should show up next to the Play button. Make sure to claim the Ultimate Edition content by clicking on it. First issue: After the update, the game’s online modes have become unplayable. Whenever I join a match, everything is normal for about 5 seconds, and then suddenly there’s massive input delay, making it impossible to play. This issue has only started happening after the latest update. Second issue: I’m playing the first half with a stable 60 FPS, and everything is fine. But as soon as the second half starts, the FPS drops to around 15. I’ve already tried deleting my profile, but it didn’t help. What could be causing this problem? I live in Cyprus and try to play pro clubs with people in the uk but when we try to load into the game it keeps saying connection to lobby lost, is there a way of solving this as it only seems to happen when I try to play as this doesn’t happen when I’m not in the game. I’ve tried a few ways of fixing it e.g deleting and re downloading the game, removing approximate location matchmaking but when we play drop in matches together it works fine. If every online match disconnects and sends you back to the menu, do this (This method doesn’t work if you’re already unable to connect to the EA servers): 1) Close everything Close FC 26, Steam, and the EA App. 2) Delete the FC26 folder Go to: C:\Users\YOUR_WINDOWS_USERNAME\AppData\Local If you don’t see AppData: File Explorer → View → Show → Hidden items Delete this folder: "EA SPORTS FC 26" (From the bin too. This does NOT delete the game, just corrupted network sync files.) 3) Verify the game files through Steam • Steam → Library • Right click the game → Properties • Local Files → Verify integrity (It’s correct that it shows you the 3 corrupted files because when you delete the folder, the files are removed, so when you run the verification, it downloads the folder again with the 3 files fixed). Wait for it to finish. 4) Restart your PC 5) Proper launch order • Open EA App • Then open Steam • Launch FC 26 from Steam IMPORTANT: Do NOT change graphic settings. Unless, all the steps become useless. 6) DISCONNECT FIX (do this every time you open the game) 1. Go to Online Settings 2. Set Cross-play → OFF 3. Enter any mode (Pro Clubs / Rush / Rivals) 4. Set Cross-play → ON 5. Start the match I tested this method after the latest patch and I was able to play for hours straight (Pro Clubs, Rush and Ultimate) without getting disconnected or being sent back to the menu. I can confirm that this fix is currently working. Some are reporting that it works and some not. Sometimes when you close and restart the game it will start disconnect again. You have to do all the steps again to let it work. Hope this will help some of you. Sorry in advance to those for whom my help won’t be useful. UPDATE: Some are reporting that the EA team has released this temporary note (still after following this guide — otherwise it’s useless, but I haven’t tested this part yet): “The team has been investigating non-stop since the issue was raised, and thankfully I can report that while we don’t yet have a fix, we DO have a potential workaround. Please tell your PC players to change the setting below: Graphics Settings > Crowd Quality > set to MEDIUM (do not set to ‘Low’)” If the settings don’t save and reset (mostly because you can’t change them in-game after following the steps, otherwise it starts disconnecting you from matches again), please try this method: Press Win + R, type %localappdata%\EA SPORTS FC 26, and press Enter. Find and open fcsetup.ini with Notepad. Change the line crowd_quality = to crowd_quality = 1 (1 = medium). Save and close the file. Right-click fcsetup.ini, go to Properties, check Read-only, then click Apply and OK. I haven’t tried this method yet, so I can’t confirm it. EA OFFICIAL UPDATE PATCH V.1.1.2: "FC 26 v1.1.2 will be out soon, addressing a PC specific disconnect that can occur in online matches. While waiting for this update, players can temporarily change the Crowd Quality setting under Graphics to medium to work around this issue. Please ensure to restart the title for this change to take effect." LAST UPDATE: EA OFFICIALLY PATCHED THE ISSUE WITH THE UPDATE V 1.1.2, This guide is no longer valid.
