NFL HEAD COACH
I know there is a head coach mode but i know im not the only one who wants the NFL HEAD COACH game to come back. Let the madden series continue but give us a full coach sim no control of players just their ability and your coach ability. I was too young to realize how nice it was to have a strict coach only game. I am currently looking to buy NFL HEAD COACH 09 because that was the last year. This could be a very fun online leage let put our minds to the test. I could care less about playing the game online otherwise I've played madden online in multiple modes dont care for it. I also know that players have been asking for HEAD COACH to make a return for a while now. I bought all 6 of the collectors series drip players to get the chem boosted that should turn them all to 99 players, and the chem boosted shows active but is not actually working. Any ideas on this? It would suck to have wasted almost 10 million coin on this. I am on ps5: every online mut game I try to play, it destiny’s every time before kickoff. I have tried fixing my internet, and restarting game/console. It was like this earlier in the year and fixed after a few DAYS. Why is everything so high like Madden points and the fact that people over price the Mut cards is ridiculous. Another thing is I brought up trying to make the game realistic when the QB throws the ball to a receiver sometimes the defender is just standing right behind him doing nothing he doesn't try to break the ball up or anything. What's the point of having lead passing if the defender can super man jump out of nowhere it makes me very angry when I know I have someone beat then that happens smh. Field goals should be this hard especially when you're close and not being iced smh! And user pick can be annoying too because they are playing with another player then all of a sudden I can pick a player that's somewhat close but not really and intercept the ball smh. This is a thread I wanted to start so everyone on here can have their ideas seen and heard by EA_Shepard and other EA Staff while also having a single, organized place to share them. This in turn makes it easier to read and organize these thoughts in order to pass on to dev teams. Please be respectful and feel free to put down anything you would want to see in a coming update or in newer games to come. I'll start by adding these ideas: Downloadable Rosters & Draft Classes from past years for nostalgic Franchises. Customizable Divisions and Schedules like what is found in CFB (Great for Fantasy). Reincluding the option of Coaching Legends for Coach Mode (Also Great for Fantasy). Possibly reinclude custom facial uploads for custom coaches in Coach Mode. Revamped and reincluded Player/Owner Modes. - Ultimately to summarize this: For Owner Mode, I'd like to see Team Builder tied more exclusively to a new version of this where customization of everything from the ground up is key for the most customizable experience ever. For Player Mode, I'd like what little works well within Superstar to be tied to a new, revamped Player Mode, where the storylines and cutscenes are more included here, and less in other modes. This would include being able to choose an existing player within a franchise, and focus exclusively on their career; OR, create a new player and start as you would within Superstar. I'd like to see Team Builder weaved into relocation for all online modes and somehow introduced into offline. Inclusion of holding the L2/LT to Switch Stick to minimize switching by accident, especially while trying to pass rush. Include more cities and teams for Relocation. Cities where franchises already exist like Miami, LA, or Detroit, as well as new ones like Boston, Phoenix, or Birmingham. More Stadium options for Relocation. Reinclude Build a Stadium within Team Builder. I'm talking from scratch...not just editing the field. Reinclude the ability to edit and create more custom uniform combinations. Within the Edit Rosters section of the Creation Center, more flexibility to edit a player's contract, abilities, etc, would be nice. Better Training Camp - Introduce some ability to gain physical STR, SPD, AGI, COD, by introducing some of the game found in Superstar like the 3Cone, Weightlifting, 40YD, etc. - This is where mini-games shine. Make games open for more players to train and have them more focused on gaining skill points and less on XP and Rookie Reps. This is a great way to help maintain the physical ability of Vets, or take your high-level Superstars to the next level. Revamp Weekly Training - Make this less focused on mini-games and tie it more to Practice Mode and gaining XP/Rookie Reps. The way the have Wear & Tear worked into this is nice; Now just optimize it. Optimize Coach Central and Coaching Abilities. - It's a bit to type but my thoughts on this can be found in my "M26 Franchise Feedback thread" thread. I feel that's a pretty good start for now. I am the biggest Madden Franchise Dynasty mode fan ever. And I have been very disappointed in the lack of in depth focus off the madden franchise focus on dynasty, I miss the days of having all the authenticity of all the real coaches, off/def coordinators and special teams coaches. I think it has taken away a lot of the realism. It would be nice if you could create HC, OC, DC, ST coaches like how NBA 2K allows you to since you have limited control and realism over the made up coaches on madden now. It would be nice to be able to edit the coaching pool that you current have, such as name, looks, type of offense/defense philosophy’s and a position focus as well. i would love to see a new coaching system on madden where you can have HC, OC, OC and ST but also have position coaching who have speciality traits. So for instance if you get a HC who wants to have DC who specializes in a 3-4, he can find a DC which specializes in a 3-4 but then he can find a DL coach, LB coach that specializes in 3-4 schemes. And if you want more man coverage you can find a CB/S coach that specializes in that as well and then when you add players who fit your scheme their specialties enhance your players rating and the defenses overall chemistry . Players who don’t fit the teams overall scheme may struggle or your team chemistry on the field mighr reflect that. Players who have multiple scheme fits then become more attractive bc if you get a DC who runs multiple defenses the player is more valuable bc of multiple scheme fit. Same for offense .you should be able to have an OC, OL coach, WR TE coach, RB and OL coach, and based on the HC offensive scheme, if the OC mirrors it should affect the team chemistry. If position coaches mirror the OC type of offense or style of play, it increases team chemistry and gives the players a boost in certain attributes. they should give HC an ability to have a different structure. Traditionally OC, DC and ST or pass game coordinators/ run game coordinators and same on defense. Signing all coaches for multiple years would be good as well. If someone wants to steal your coach for a head coach position it should allowed but if you or a cpu controlled team wants to sign your coach to a lateral position you should be able to decline or accept. Trading for HC should be an option as well. They should also let you have to the ability to resign players not on contract years -vs just on their contract year. They should give you the ability to resign throughout the entire season or offseason. It would be nice to go back to signing free agents in the preseason to more than just one year. That’s not realistic- a lot of players sign for multiple year deals. Coaches and player should be asked to ask for contracts before if they have outplayed their deals or coaches should be able to offer a deal before their have a contract year. Another day where superstar continues to be broken on Madden26. Months now this has been reported and zero support or solution has been found. I continue to report the issue and get the same generic answer that they are looking into it and multiple people reported the issue but when an entire game mode is broken for so many people for months and nothing is fixed, you start to think nothing is actually being done. franchise mode hasn’t had rosters updated in weeks either. Though it’s obvious, EA only cares about MUT because it’s where they make their money. While other people that just want to play the normal game modes are left sitting on their hands.Madden 26 desync issue before kickoff
I am on ps5: every game in online h2h, events, champs, etc. I am able to load into the game, but then after the introduction with the players, it glitches and desyncs before ever match. Please solve this. i have tried restarting my game and console. Checked for good internet, and am sure there is nothing I can do besides start a new account. I highly doubt anyone will ever actually read this, but my therapist said that keeping my frustrations bottled up can lead to a plethora of other health problems, so it's important to air your grievances...even if it's in an empty chat room. Any-who... Now I'm no financial expert, or software developer, or anything even remotely related, but what I AM, is a long time gamer, who isn't difficult to please. Which is why I can't understand why myself, and the Madden community as a whole, is annually given this digital disappointment? Okay, perhaps I'm being too harsh. While I COMPLETELY understand that at the end of the day you guys are a business, who's exists for no other reason, but to make money for the investors, and the only question plaguing investors isn't "are we producing a quality product?" or "Are the customers happy and/or satisfied?". It's "Did they buy it?" and if the answer is "yes", then who cares about the rest. And more often than not, in a free market economy, that's fine because if you're unhappy with any aspect of the product, you can cease to patronize the offending company and give your money to a company that better fits your needs, values their customers, provides a superior service, or whatever. But unfortunately, when it comes to Madden, we, the customers/gamers, are not privvy to such a luxury. I believe that I speak for MANY gamers, when I say that we feel as though we are not valued, and feel almost as though we're being taunted. I find it difficult to believe that developers and decision-makers are completely oblivious to the conundrum faced by madden players world wide. "You have an issue with our game?...Don't buy it. Go purchase it from another developer...oh. That's right...you can't". So you guys know that whether we're still dealing with the same bugs from 5 iterations ago, swear we're not buying it next year, or just **bleep** and moan in an empty forum, like I'm doing now, that next year...we'll be in line, 80 bucks in hand. Which kinda feels like "diet extortion". I honestly just wish I could get a few questions answered. I think that the entire community would appreciate some level of transparency. I PROMISE you, helping us to understand why certain things are the way they are, would do wonders for us all. For instance...a common theme with players, is that we can't understand why the same bugs make their in-game appearance, year after year? Now I'm not going to sit up here and pretend to even remotely grasp the inconceivable complexities of turning zeros and one's into the game we know today, because I don't. But from talking to, interacting with, and scrubbing forums the general consensus is clear. Players care more about a playable, working title, than they do about new features. Look...I get it, you want to make it appear as though you're giving us something fresh and new...[Spoiler Alert] It never feels fresh OR new. Like some things just feel completely counterintuitive. Like why introduce ANYTHING new, with all of the stuff that needs to be fixed? Does that make sense? But this is the basis of all of our frustrations. For instance...The addition of the Sphere of Influence. I think it's great! Awesome addition, in theory...but it's broken. And not only is it broken, but the SAME quests that haven't worked in YEARS (get 3 3rd down stops/Force a fumble on a Boom Stick/Get a goal line stop) STILL don't work! No exaggeration...I've never completed all of the quests in Superstar...EVER. Because there is ALWAYS at least 1 that's impossible to trigger in game. So now not only do I have 4 Head coaches, 3 DCs, 5 S&C coaches, and teammates from long deleted profiles, forcing my current teammates to be "inactive", making them impossible to upgrade, but I still can't complete the same quests I've been unable to complete for no less than the last FIVE iterations. So instead of the Sphere of Influence adding to, and creating a more enjoyable gaming experience, it's just added new bugs to the mix, while compounding the old, creating an overall LESS enjoyable experience. And this is what's frustrating. I would rather you give me this exact game, no other additions, just updated teams and rosters, and use the time that would've been designated for "creating a more immersive experience", for creating a playable, enjoyable game. I don't think you guys understand the gravity of one year giving your loyal fan base a game we can actually play. Anyway...I've gone on far too long. I'm actually ashamed of myself for even HAVING this much to say on the topic. This discussion is for the Madden ratings system in conduct with online play. The way that they rated is not enjoyable for online play and we know we can just edit them for our own Quick play and Franchise purposes. The ratings are in a nutshell “terrible” and unenjoyable for playing online. Although Competitive is the mode for online play, these players ratings still have an impact on the success of each play. For example, even on competitive mode Matthew Stafford will run at his 70-79 speed oppose to Lamar Jackson at his 96 speed and it is noticeable. Or if someone has Sheduer Sanders and they try to throw deep it will be inconsistent and probably over throw oppose to a quarterback like Mahomes where the pass will probably be more accurate and near the receiver. So ratings “does” play a role still in “Competitive Mode”. So with that being said, you can not just rate these players on there popularity in the league! You need to get somebody who knows every last star players exact unpredictable ratings correct first! Like receivers that have good moves off the line of scrimmage, you put there release ratings in the 90’s, even the tight ends that are good should have release ratings like 86 and up. The offensive linemen are a complete joooooke. There’s no offensive lineman no matter how fat you think they are lol, that is slow in the 60’s speed rating that is a complete joke because they have to pull and get the linebackers. And I’ve yet to see a running back in the league who passes the lineman on an off tackle or pull run. Great lineman should be rated in speed around 88 and up. And yes there’s defensive linemen that should be rated 90 and up. And in this league, Linebackers are not this slow on understanding if a receiver is going towards them on a route that this is not who they cover. For Christ sakes you still have Bo Nix rated a “81” on a great Bronco team that is probably number two in the league right now. This is highly unacceptable because it is so unenjoyable online. And still no proper face scan..or excuse me as a 3d major in college I will say you still haven’t created the polygon face for Sanders. I will like to know if you need help on these ratings as far as advising you on this. Because we know how great this game is and would like to help rather the talk down to. point is the ratings needs to be more of how valuable the specific players are “to the specific team” rather then what you perceive as a star player.StewLexus41 day agoRising Newcomer11Views0likes0CommentsSuperstar Mode Error
Unfortunately, the Superstar mod has never worked well for me. After buying the game at launch, I could never get into it. When I tried to start the game in Superstar mod mode, the entire Madden application would crash. Now, after the latest update, I can at least play with it, but there's a problem. In the league settings, I set quarters to 12 minutes, but when I start the game, they're only 6 minutes long. Has anyone else encountered this issue? Anyone else having issues on defense when switching to player with B button during the play. When I push B to switch players the player automatically falls down , I push B again for the next closest player and he falls down .
