Constant stuttering and freezing.
After The Last Jedi patch the game is completely unplayable. Even in smaller game modes the stuttering is unbearable. Before the patch everything was smooth, apart from the constant serverside rubberbanding, and laggs of course. Now everything stutters, the menu, the lootboxes, the SP cutscenes, everything... The platform is PC and my sys req is way over the recommended line. Drivers are updated too. It is so annoying... even a company this huge cannot test their builds properly. Gamebreaking problems such as this should be fixed immediately, but after 24 hrs still nothing. Now we have to wait who knows how long for a fix... I would rather play the previous build of the game without the DLC. AAA game development... are you kidding me?!. This has happened twice to me now and is only resolved by exiting the entire game and restarting it. Didn't see a whole lot of talk about this issue (course, I'm getting old so perhaps I'm blind). There are major server rubber banding and lag issues with nearly all servers atm. In-game chat is literally full of people complaining about it and streamers can also confirm this. Oddly some people don't seem to be experience it but the majority seem to be. Just thought I'd give a headsup (assuming they actually read this forum). Full game against BOTS is what is wanted.
After playing the beta and reading MANY posts on "Arcade" the consensus is the following: "Arcade" is NOT what people wanted nor have been asking from since SWBF1 was announced 2+ years ago. What we wanted: Offline or against bots alone or with a friend either thought friends list online or couch co-op of the ENTIRE, let me repeat, ENTIRE Multiplayer experience. All maps, hero's, modes, and ships/vehicles, simply just against bots instead of online competitive. THIS is what people have been asking for time and time again, forever now, and where is it? Post after post saying the same thing I just said, and no response from DICE. Heck, even gaming sites are posting articles saying this. There are piles of Youtube video's saying this. So, either they clearly want to ignore the demand for this, or they flat out just don't care to put it in the game for some outlandish reason. A reasons that perplexes me as to why. I honestly do not get how this still is not in the game. No, Skirmish from the first SWBF is not what people wanted either, it was a step in the right direction, but not the real full experience we all wanted. What they gave us: Small maps with either timed scenarios or kill count missions that is couch co-op with a friend against "bots". Completely separate from anything close to the Multiplayer experience. No flying or vehicles. No real objectives or huge battles like the online has. Nothing of what anyone really wanted. Now you tell me. How is it that the old SWBFII could have an entire game (Galactic Conquest) worth of offline bot battles and scenarios with ships, flying, and land battles....but the new games can't? How? Where is the logic in NOT having this in the game? Are all the people that enjoyed this in the old SWBF2 a minority or something? Because, I remember spending hours and hours playing Galactic Conquest and doing all sorts of fun things offline against bots. I also see posts from the Beta thread saying the exact things I have just said. So, something is off here. Something is not getting through to DICE. One of the only reasons I cared about the new SWBF2 was because they said we would have "Arcade" mode with bots and a Single Player campaign. I will say it, I pretty much hated the new SWBF. It was nothing but a multiplayer game, with a VERY small offline mode (Skirmish) that two people worked on to make. No, I am not a online competitive person, I personally can't stand playing against other people online, for many reasons. I play games to relax, escape, and enjoy myself. Not get killed repeatedly by over-skilled players, listen to elitists and rude condescending trolls, or not watching people use exploits or cheat to ruin it for everyone else. I prefer to play alone with bots or with a friend in a Horde mode or Co-Op setting, because I have FUN doing it. I rarely ever have fun in online competitive things. After playing the beta, the only thing I care about is the Single Player campaign now because the "Arcade" mode is not really what was being promoted, nor was it what people wanted. Yes, I tried the multiplayer in the beta, and it was the same nonsense where good players hogged the Hero's and I was always struggling to even get enough points to buy one....if it was ever available. Had DICE simply added the multiplayer experience against bots instead of people, I could have really enjoyed that, I really wish I could....but it's not in the game. Dice. I really don't expect any EA official or anyone else to help me here, but here goes nothing. Let me first say that I can run battlefront 2 very well on ultra, I have barely any noticeable fps lag, and the game ran perfectly fine on my PC on the first day, but for some reason I am recently getting this type of internet lag that is completely unexplained for me and has made the game unplayable. I get like 45 mb/s normally and every other multiplayer game I play is perfectly fine. I've repaired the game, i've uninstalled and reinstalled, I've changed server locations(I'm currently on ohio), i've tried turning the graphics down to minimum, I've checked all background programs and all I have is just discord and origin, but it always still persists no matter what I do... I'm beginning to think that refunding the game is the only option left. This is what happens: I start up battlefront, no problems. I get to the title screen, no problems. I click multiplayer and go into either blast or galactic assault, no problems I get into the game, no problems 5 mins pass, I get these small wierd motion stops, it's not low fps, The fps is fine and I can look around and stuff, its just like TIME STOPPED, I wait like 2 seconds and it passes and everyone teleports around for a moment and the game continues. 10 mins pass, it gets progressively worse, the time stops are more frequent and longer, until i just quit the game altogether because I can't play it like that. I've asked people in the ingame chat if they've had the same problem, and they say they are all fine. Also, the thermal binoculars cannot see through objects/walls, so this in conjunction with the targets being dark (as with no heat signature) these items are rendered completely useless What do you expect to see? Thermal Binoculars and the CR2 Night Vision scope are used to see heat signatures of targets. During use of these items, targets in your view appear "hot" or bright white against the "cold" (green, thermal binoculars - or - blue, night vision scope) environment. Dodge and try to attack immediately after it (it used to work even if you pressed the attack button just before your dodge was over). What happens when the bug occurs? You don't do anything, your character just stares at nothing. What do you expect to see? Revert this issue Please select your region Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe, North America, South America AMD or Nvidia Model Number Dodge attacks were fundamental to saber vs saber combat, It granted fluidity, diversity, and made the duels lots of fun. Now diversity is gone, fluidity is over. Dodging is an impairment to attack now, so it's even harder for a saber to find an opening on enemy sabers. Quickly dodging accross your enemy to quickly turn and attack his exposed back is not doable anymore for the delay that is there now. Each attack after a dodge would be a specific attack from the sequence of attacks of each saber. Forward, Backwards, Left, or Right dodges would all trigger a different specific attack when you attacked just after dodging. It would resume the attack sequences from that specific attack onwards. It was the only way to manipulate which attack swings you wanted to use from all you had. Without it you're forced to always start attacking with one of your 2 opening attacks, or your 2 lunge attacks, and you can't choose which of the 2 in each case. This removed a lot from the saber duels. Please revert this. @EA_Atic If I can plead for anything around here, is a fix for this issue. Or at least the confirmation it's intentional. Please, for all I have done right for the community here and in the main forum, please, get me something as an answer, anything. I returned to the main menu to find that had also unlocked the "A Tremendous Service" achievement. However, I did not receive my Choker emote or my 500 Crystals, and the while the achievement says "COMPLETED" beneath it, it is not greyed out. I got the following message twice, and now once every time I start up the game: "Sorry, we couldn’t grant you your reward. Please try again or check your inventory for new items. Error: 2,495" I believe it has something to do with the fact that I already somehow had the Choker emote. It's possible I got it in a lootbox or crate around December 2017, but I'm not 100% sure. Delete the Origin folder 9.Click on the word "AppData" at the top of your window 10.Open the Local folder here 11.Delete the Origin folder listed here 12.Restart your PC and log back into Origin 1D.) Please select your region North America AMD or Nvidia Model Number NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Mouse cursor disappears in menus or character selection screens. Ever since the Dooku update. Can't see what I'm trying to click on. If I minimize the game and bring back up the cursor will reappear temporarily until the next time I need to choose something from a menu, then it's invisible again.
