Hello, im trying to comeback to this game like 1-2 years ago, but i cant fix this on my account:
"There is an issue with your Electronic Arts account which will prevent SWTOR purchases until resolved. Please contact customer support (https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/star-wars/star-wars-the-old-republic/swtor-support) for further assistance".
And the support long time ago try to reset my pw, we did it, do a phonecall, etc and nothing. What can i do? I just wanna play and pay a subscription.

did you fix the account issue from last year ? see https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Technical/Steam-subscription-not-working/m-p/11175623#M84010
You need to reset the password on the linked EA account that account has the persona abcdpvfbuo7mp (not AnkhEdu your posting on now) that EA account uses a hotmail email (email is different to swtor email)
use the following link to reset the password use this link then login on that EA account to fix the swtor account for purchasing
for future purchases, use incognito mode on chrome initially if you purchase on swtor.com to be sure browser cache and cookies is cleared
Hello again and thanks for respond.
That always told me about "this" persona abcdpvfbuo7mp.
I long time ago switch from hotmail to gmail, now i se both mails, primary is gmail, secondary for backup hotmail. And both have the same name "ankheducito"...
But i remember someone told me about this bug because a sistem migration from ea.
I dont know if i have to remove my hotmail or i dont know what i have to do just to pay my sub and play.
And i already reset the EA PW in your link, try to purchase from the direct webside, and fail. same message.

easiest is to call swtor support when the lines are open and put a new email on the EA account "abcdpvfbuo7mp"
That message will exist until the correct ea account has had a password reset

the cost will be up to your phone plan ?
Here in Australia for example vodafone mobile phones include free calls to the UK - @proxos666 Oh okok, thanks again i will try to call.
I'm having the same problem. Still not resolved nearly a year later. I can't sub and I can't even get a game time card. Getting "There is an issue with your Electronic Arts account which will prevent SWTOR purchases until resolved. Please contact customer support (https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/star-wars/star-wars-the-old-republic/swtor-support) for further assistance." error. I have used the links and reset my password via EA and tried again in an incognito window to no avail. Please help.

swtor account displayname ? if it has been going on for nearly a year, generally a 5 minute phone call would of resolved it
swtor account name is MollyRajahBrandi. Left the game 280 days ago with this problem and came back two days ago. While I appreciate the assistance you provide, was it really necessary to be snarky? I don't generally call CS for a game I don't actively play especially when last I dealt with them in 2012 we had a language barrier issue for the English CS.
- proxos6662 years agoHero+
not trying to be snarky just stating that calling would of resolved this issue back then
anyways have flagged to check the issue to see if any options exist but to call , response will be in about 5 hrs when support are online for the day - proxos6662 years agoHero+
To fix the account issue, You can try to reset the password on the linked EA account that account has been disabled and uses a different email to the one used on your swtor account (and the ea account your posting on now (so it is not the EA account your posting on now)
The linked ea account used a Gmail.com email address, mail is similar to what you have on your swtor account but with gmail.comuse this link (insert the Gmail.com email address into that link) to reset the password then login on that EA account to fix the swtor account for purchasing
Thanks for the help. I don't have access to my gmail account anymore so I guess it's a call to CS tomorrow due to Turkey Day.

english lines open in 30 minutes time
Hello. I am getting this same message that I can't buy a subscription to Star Wars: the old Republic.
"There is an issue with your Electronic Arts account which will prevent SWTOR purchases until resolved. Please contact customer support for further assistance."
I bought a subscription thru steam without reading the reviews for it. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1333220/STAR_WARS_The_Old_Republic___Subscriptions/#app_reviews_hash
2,009 negative reviews. Apparently its common knowledge, according to the reviews, that buying the subscription through steam does not work out of the box.
And if you don't buy it using a certain method with steam it will not add the subscription to your SWTOR account.
Where I am at is I bought through the sub through steam and I can't refund it.
But I don't give a crap about that! Just let me buy it through the website!
EDIT: I forgot to mention I Already did the fixes up above and I am still getting the Message on the SWTOR Website.
What email do I contact to fix the EA Account for SWTOR?
Thanks - Jaro

What happens is if the accounts are not linked prior to the purchase, or if the swtor account is disabled for subscribing, then no gametime can be added to that account , not even swtor support can add gametime until the account issue is resolved
you will need to email screenshots as per https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Technical/INFO-Steam-Purchase-Not-Working/td-p/9356718/jump-to/first-unread-message
will need the swtor account displayname to check the account for issues, and support has your email with the screenshots
- proxos6662 years agoHero+
support found the swtor account , you will need to call them when the lines are open to fix the account issue
https://answers.ea.com/t5/General-Discussion-Technical/INFO-Getting-Help-and-Board-Guidlines/td-p/4806237/jump-to/first-unread-messagethey also cant see an email from you yet with the steam screenshots, they will need these to add the gametime once the account is fixed

Yes, I have this issue and tried to follow instructions, but EA support can't be used for tickets.
I'm not good with computers, so I have trouble finding a solution to this.
Got an old account from the very beginning and both the old sec key tool is battery failed (got that sorted via my phone app)
Tried to fix this account issue, but I don't really know why it occurs. It feels like EA forces me to sync all my different old games into one account. Is it a must all games need to use same email/username now?
need help
