The game works for me today. Did nothing except enable cloud save...
@Theworldo21 What CPU do you have?
i5-7600k
That explains it! A lot of us can't fix the issue because we have older Intel Core 2 Quad/Duo/Xeon Amd Phenom all missing SSE4.2. Read somewhere that they made a change in For Honor were you can't start the game if you have the aforementioned CPU's because they removed the support for SSE4.1 which sucks because that game ran pretty decent on my Core 2 Quad Q9400.
Well, I have Core 2 Quad q6700, and I've played For Honor. But I can't launch Apex
@janibek0606 Used to work for me too, don't have it installed right now to test it. If you got it try it and see if it works or not, read on ubisoft forums that they removed support for SSE4.1 in the last patch so it might not work.
i tested with q6600 and e5450 but cant lauch.
tried with i3 2100 and works fine.
We got our answer, those CPUs' don't support SSE4.2 but the I3 does. Nothing we can do about it at the moment just have to wait for the devs to fix it if they'll ever will.
Seems like SSE4.2 is the cause of this indeed. I also have a core 2 quad Q8400 and nothing in this thread helped. Running Titanfall 2 just fine. We will have to hope Respawn fixes this fast.
No It Aint. I got And It Still Aint Work
I done Try'd Everything I Dont Kno Wot It Is Plez Fix. I done Did All Dat Nd My CPU Supports SSE4.2
- Try other things from the thread. So far no one who doesn't have a CPU that supports the SSE4.2 instruction set was able to launch the game. While those with it have generally other issues and launch it eventually.

Hi all, I just want to clarify that this thread is for the issue where you get to the EASY anti-cheat banner, then the game doesn't run, with no error message.
If you have any software installed that changes how Windows runs, or that controls any peripherals, please try uninstalling these.
Examples include:Uninstalled Classic Shell
EVGA LED Sync
Logitech Gaming SoftwareASUS GPU Tweak
Also, make sure your Windows is completely up to date, check back with Windows Update until it gives you the all-clear.Thanks to @frankie519 @stevie-b111 @Starfighterzor @Vaex_darastrix and anyone else I missed
@DaLoosa Also found that a reinstall of the Anti-cheat software helped"Here's what I did to re-install the service:
- Run C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Apex\EasyAntiCheat\EasyAntiCheat_Setup.exe
- Clicked the "Remove" link in the bottom left corner and waited for removal to finish.
- Clicked the big blue "Install" button in the middle.
- Clicked the "Finish" button to close the window."
@katowito You mention changing your language, can you clarify what language you were using and what exactly you changed?
I also need to point out the minimum requirements for the game, which can be found here: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/Apex-Legends-PC-System-Requirements/td-p/7424938
Unfortunately many folks posting here are using hardware that's below the minimum requirements for CPUs, which are listed as an Intel Core i3-6300 3.8GHz or an AMD FX-4350 4.2 GHz Quad-Core Processor
If we can find out anything related to the instruction set concerns raised in the thread, we'll let folks know. - Titanfall 2 already had minimum requirements on that level and most of us could still play it below it.. why deny the game to people who have only one weaker component, when the said component still works well with the game? It is a whole group of customers for free, when they get to play the game, even if minimum requirements are higher. Why not, when it works?
So I hope that Respawn will decide to allow the game to run even on lower processors when the game that came out before and is the basis for this game, still allowed it. I don't think it would be too hard to accomplish with some good engineering. It was already said by other people here that other games suffered for this as well and developers fixed it in few weeks. Yesterday i had the r5apex.exe application error too, i uninstalled origin and game, to do a fresh install. Now i get a new error message from EAC. It says... Untrusted System File (C:\ProgramFiles(x86)\ORIGIN~1\Apex\amd_ags_x64.dll).
So, i am gonna try the steps here and i will reply back. Although i know nothing will help because my system is... let's say old.
Windows 7 SP1 64-bit
Q6600 2.4GHz
8GB RAM
GTX 750Ti (4GB)
try to update your windows my friend did this and it worked for him
The game worked again for a while, and... doesn't launch now (haven't shut down my pc or did anything)
I don't understand minimum system requirements in this case, cause I think my Intel Core 2 Quad 6600 is atleast on par with the i3 listed in the specifications. I ran Titanfall, PUBG etc. on good settings with this processor. I hope the devs can find a solution
i have intel core 2 quad q 9550 at 3,5ghz and gpu 1060 ti , i run every battle royale game at 100 FPS easy. This game not even starting after EAC screen . I guess they force people to change older cpu despite they are still working very well l. Dont force me to buy i3 2100 on which is working cuz q 9550 OC is way better than that * lmfao.
Why do people still recommend to update drivers, windows, etc when they clearly don't have older CPU's. Guys, if you have i3's i'5 i7's then this problem is different than yours which you fixed by updating windows.
@EA_David @EA_Atic Can't you guys test with a core 2 quad cpu doesnt matter model from q6600 up to q 9600x and solve it already instead of asking us to uninstall and reinstall thing all over again which obviously after 25 pages of spam is not working and you keep writeing same thing to do but it was already made and still game not loading after EAC ?

@luci141 That hardware is below the minimum requirements for the game, sorry.
However others have posted in the thread who hit the requirements, and troubleshooting can help in those cases. It may be related to others softwares running at the same time (steam, word or whatever). I don't see why sometimes I can launch it, and 10 minutes later, I can't. I don't think it's a hardware / driver issue (at least in my case)
