It really bugs me that the game makers are not listening to the players.  So many are upset by this sentiment thing and I spend more time fixing things than playing the game happily, like I used to.  I hate cheating, but really these sentiments ruin long relationships and cause rifts in once happy families.  Anyway, hope the cheat fixes some of your games - it's tiresome putting it all in (make sure you have testing cheats true on first btw) but it's worth it to see your sims happy again.  Sadly it can only be done with sims on the same lot, so when the kids move out they are like strangers to their parents.  I got one of the kids to give the mother a resident key (we are famous) but she doesn't use it, just stands outside looking dazed. if I see her I get one of her sons to hug her but there's no option to invite her in.  *shakes head*

Sentiments just proper suck. They don't fix the lack of personality, most of the time they don't make sense. I actually didn't think it was possible for sims 4 to get WORSE but here we are. Christ, just give me a box to uncheck.

I switched off lifestyles, they were a pain, but the sentiments are worse!  I feel your pain!  

@Gednaa This is amazing!  Thank you for sharing!  I just had another dreaded hurt sentiment from a toddler when he didn't want comforting after a potty accident.  Why is my fussy toddler so fussy??  Anyway,  one thing I will note is that when I put in the -100 cheat to remove the Hurt sentiment, he got the deeply wounded sentiment for some reason.  However, when I entered the -100 cheat to remove deeply wounded, it was gone.  So, perhaps the cheats aren't entirely stable?  Maybe something to watch.  Even so, I'm ever so grateful to have an option!

I have one couple that I can't add or remove anything for; even friendships.  They're newly weds and have all good sentiments but no Deeply in love.  Today, it has has been a pain trying to sort out my families.  I have the whole of Sulani, but just one couple won't work.  I guess, I'll just have to take them on a date or get them to renew their vows again.  I hope these cheats haven't been blocked because without them, the game is just not worth playing.  Anyway, I hope this has helped some of you and continues to do so.  🙂

Ha!  Today all is well.  But I've been noticing these sentiments. Some of my families have none at all for each other and are getting along just great.  I don't think they change anything at all.  I'm just going to let this ride out for a few days and see what happens.  Everyone is perfectly happy without them.   I did get a hurt sentiment once with my son and father-in-law, but I removed it.  Now Father-in-Law can't stop thinking about son-on. Law all the time!  :/. It's just another piece of coding thrown into the works to keep us all on our toes and keep us interested.  I'll see what happens now there are hardly any sentiments going on and will report back.  btw.  Merry Christmas my friends and stay safe during these difficult times.  I must admit I started playing The Sims to keep me occupied during lockdown, or dare I say Locke Down... I'm a Lost fan and have the whole of Sulani island filled with Lost characters.  Benzi chibna looble bazebni gweb 😉

My toddler sim was asked by his mother if he wanted to play.  The angelic trait was picked for this toddler.  He decided he wanted to be disobedient and not want to play, then they played and now a sim week later he still feels hurt.  There's a problem with the sentiments system that some of the Pros around here don't seem to get.  I've been reading up on them and it's absolutely stupid that not wanting to play can make two sims feel so butthurt about each other for 7 sim days.  All the positive interactions and the toddler still isn't getting over it.

I just want sentiments turned off.  This is ridiculous.

Hey all!  All codes working fine for me and if you want them to stick around a bit longer (saves a lot of time) I found a mod to make them last longer.  So far so good.  Only had it a day but all seems well and stable.  No issues for me.  Hope this helps some more.  Edit-mod link removed, please don't add them on AHQ

i have the same problem and it's so annoying. my toddler got the hurt sentiment because his dad told him not to plash paint everywhere. wtf? it's developed into a festering grudge now so my toddler throws a fit everytime his dad enters the room

That really sucks @citrusgang I hope you're able to remove the grudge with the cheat earlier in the thread.  It's just not realistic and this is supposed to simulate real life??  My kid threw paint around and we hugged it out over making a mess and he never did it again and no sentiments.  He did have the angelic trait.  His halo must have been tarnished that day though.  😉

@jona0703 Yes there are strange things, like if you put in Close_LT it will wipe out Enamored_LT.  but keep fiddling around with it and you'll get what you want eventually.  I always choose Adoring_ST with the kids and Close_LT - they seen to be most appropriate for children.  With spouses, Enamored_ST and Enamored_LT because as soon as they are in the same room together they get flirty!  Also put Close_ST and Adoring_ST as this created a strong, protective bond between the couple.  I was horrified that their new twins, when aged up, with Close_LT sentiment had to "attempt introduction" to their parents on Get Famous!  It was like this before the sentiments kicked in, and am alway mortified that my little kids have to attempt to introduce themselves to their parents.  I always make sure the parents hug them and read , flash cards etc, but it's still not right, everything seems so cold. Is this really a simulation of life?  I don't think so.  :{. Anyway, sweets, glad you have some options.  Happy gaming!  🙂

@Gednaa Yes!  Thanks again for sharing the cheats.  By the way, there is an open bug report for toddlers needing introductions after aging up from baby.  Maybe go add your "me too".  It's a really annoying bug!

Codes are not working for me. I hate this sentiment feature. Always getting negative sentiments for no apparent reason. Right now a sim of mine has a Festering Grudge against another Sim even though their relationship bar is filled to the brim green and they have not once had negative interactions with each other, but suddenly the festering grudge appears and now both are tense around each other. Wtf? Fix your crap EA

@elektropunch Sorry to hear you're having these major issues.  The codes are very tricky and just one figure, letter or character left out won't work.  I hope this helps.  I too hope EA are taking notice of this issue, which is upsetting so many players games.  We all hate to cheat, but I see this as a fix... for now.

It doesn’t work for me. How do I do it? Is it the sims name I’m trying to take the deeply hurt off or the one that’s deeply hurt from that person 

@megan2979 Hi!  The first name listed in the cheat is the one who has the sentiment and the second name listed is who the sentiment is about.  Let's say your sim Daniel Faraday gained a Deeply Wounded sentiment against Constant Faraday.  This example cheat would remove the Deeply Wounded sentiment from Daniel.

If you're having trouble identifying which sim has the hurt sentiment, you can double check their sim profile.  Here is an example from my own game.

Nathan Rush has a smitten sentiment about Jona Rush.  If I wanted to remove the smitten sentiment then the cheat would look like this

Here's my little "me too" about sentiment issues. Pre-sentiments, I worked really hard on getting a cohabitating couple to both have the player attribute, so even though they're not supposed to cause jealousy, they cause negative sentiments related to cheating? It's not creating the anger or sad moodlet, but the rage sentiment? Like the sentiments override the player traits?
