Seriously, Buff Wattson Already

I don't care if she's meta in Scrims. Wattson is lowkey bad!!!!

I am so sick of using my ultimate and the enemies still spam grenades at me. I just died because they throw 6 grenades into the building I was inside of with my team. They weren't even good players. Just spamming nades and not a darn thing I could do about it. Oh wait, my ultimate should have stop that crap from happening in the first place!!! That's what Wattson does. Buff her already. Please. 

Perimeter Security

  • Give her 6 charges instead of 4. This way, she can do triangle fences more often than wasting 3 of 4 nodes. With this change she will have 3 of 6 nodes if she does triangle fences. 
  • Max fences up at once is 12 still. 
  • Increase the damage from 10 to 20. It's lowkey annoying to see people walking through a fences on purpose without a thought of destroying them just to rush you. At 20 damage they will be more afraid of Wattson's fences just like people are afraid of Caustic's gas. Even a newbie is afraid of Caustic gas, but Wattson doesn't give people any fear at all. WHAT!!! Buff that please. And lowkey, if someone was foolish to take a Wraith Portal and you Triangle fenced it. They would take double the fence damage. It would be 40 damage in this case if they chased your team through a Wraith Portal. See the new punishment from this? 20 damage doesn't do anything (20 damage from the current 10 damage triangle fence). 

Spark of Genius

  • Wattson can now hold up to 2 Ultimate Accelerants in her inventory at once now instead of 1. This is highly requested, Wattson needs these to make her viable in certain situations. Her ultimate can easily be destroyed and takes 3 minutes to get back.
  • Make Wattson immune to other Wattson Fences. It's lowkey silly that Wattson gets damaged by other Wattson fences when she talks about getting electrically charged and ready.
  • Personally, Wattson should also be immune to Arc Star Damage. Why does an Arc Star hurt her when it's an electric ability? Can anyone explain that or we going to ignore our beloved Pikachu girl? (don't see it happening, but be real. why not)
  • Wattson's revive now gives the teammate 25 shield health. This allows her to heal more shields and when combo with the Level 4 Backpack, it is 75 Shields + 75 Health. The person will get up with 150 HP. 

Interception Pylon

  • Increase the Health from 150 to 250. Gets destroyed far too easily in my book. Even when it's behind cover. 
  • Increase the size of it with an invisible hitbox so bullets don't fly through it. Kind of confusing what I mean, but for example. If I wanted to take cover out in the open while using my own ultimate as a wall/cover. Bullets should not be hitting me. Yet, they can when it should be the other way around. They should destroy my ultimate first before getting to me and shooting me. I lost fights due to this when it should have been a smart outplay technique. 
  • Increase the shield recharge rate from 2 shields per a second to at least 4 shields per a second. If I'm popping a syringe instead of a shield cell, the 5 seconds that it took me to heal with the syringe should be enough to heal 25 shield health at the same exact time. This is currently not true at all. If you go on live severs and do this now, you will only heal like 10 shield health when you do finish that 5 second syringe. Please increase it more so Wattson actually heals with her ultimate. 
  • And the number one biggest issue is the grenades. Make it so Wattson's ultimate will destroy all grenades being throw at or nearby her ultimate. Grenades on the ground should even be destroyed before they go off, they should be destroyed as they're being tossed inside the room. If you're regenerating shield health in the area you're inside of, grenades should not even work in the area of effect. Wattson destroying grenades is one of the main reasons people also pick her for as well. (Note that Wattson's ult would destroy Bangalore's ult if it already landed, that is fine. I just want the grenades from Frags/Arc/Thermites to be destroyed).

Low Profile

  • Lowkey hate that Wattson has this on her still and would love to see it removed personally.

    Why does this even work? It's because grenades can still be used when your 5 meters next to Wattson's ultimate which is stupid. It should destroy hostile grenades and allow only teammates to be able to throw grenades who are within the 5 meter radius.

    One of the major buffs I'd like to see to her fences is that they are not active until an enemy crosses them. Once active, they remain so for ~10 secs or until a friendly crosses them. Would give the fences the element of surprise that they need.

    The stackable accelerates and 25 shield health on revive is a good idea (especially cause she straight up electrocutes her teammate).

    I would also like to see the Pylon changed to be active on her back for a short time instead of placed down and destructible. Atm, no matter where you put it it's easy to destroy, and changing it so it takes out any enemy ordinance would be a good change. Increase the shields recharge rate so it can replenish 50-75 shields in one activation.

    Don't make her immune to electrical damage (arc star and fences), contradicts buffing the fences if you provide a hard counter.

    Wattson’s Trophy System

    The trophy system is now significantly more aggressive in the way it shoots down grenades. Rather than just identifying between incoming and outgoing projectiles, it now predicts the trajectory of grenades thrown within the interception zone and intercepts them if they will land anywhere within that zone. This means that no grenade can contact any surface within the interception zone regardless of team, but players can fire grenades outwards from anywhere within the zone.

    Two buffs I would like to see is the max distance between nodes is bigger, and any nodes in the pylons radius are indestructible. 

    Max distance between nodes - there is many choke points on worlds edge, and it’s disappointing to see that Wattson’s fences don’t reach the full distance. This means you have to place 3 nodes to create a fence that covers the choke point. However, even if the two end nodes are hidden, the node which is in the middle can be shot, instantly destroying the fence and making it useless. 

    Indestructible nodes - the nodes are to easily destroyed so yet again making them useless. If they were indestructible while in the pylons radius, it would make them more useful. Enemies would have to destroy the pylon first before destroying the nodes. (Crypto’s EMP could still destroy nodes). 

    As you suggested, I would like to see her fences do more damage, giving players a reason to destroy them or to be frightened to engage.

    This would also make for more exciting battles, Wraith could create a portal, phase through the fences then open her portal on the other side. Octane could place his jump pad and the team could jump over fences (in open space obviously). Or crypto could use his EMP.

    Searched the forums for a post about Wattson and this was the most relevant one I found.

    What could be improved about the fences:

    I believe that the biggest weakness here is that people can see them a mile away. This leads to several negative effects for the team.

    1. Your position has just been given away

    2. Since they can be destroyed so easily (even by hiding them in corners), no one really cares that you put them down.

    3. Like you mentioned - people just walk through them and shoot you in the face(laughing that you even bothered to place your fences :D)

    4. Considering all of the above - kind of a waste of time.

    Ideas for improvement:

    1. As many have stated before - make the fences activate only when someone walks through them. This would hide your position but people could still spot the nodes on the ground and be careful about just rushing in a place(especially if they spotted a Wattson).

    On a side note - Caustic's gas canisters aren't active all the time with a gas cloud that could be spotted and avoided, and shot to instantly dissipate the effects of his traps.

    2. Make it so that it gives one large shock to enemies passing through and then the fence would need to charge back up for, say 5 seconds, or whatever time the Devs would consider appropriate. Throw a 2 sec slow in there?

    Other ideas(not balanced but throwing them out there for grabs):

    1. Give Wattson a passive that recharges shields up to 25% if she has less than that.

    2. The extra shields on revive for companions could be cool(but then make the gold bag revive override this effect).

    3. Make her fists do more damage(or slow the target) - Fists of lightning fury!! ZAP!!!

    4. When she has the ult fully charged, give her an option to choose - place it down for the shield effect or keep it on herself to overcharge her shields or something. Faster shield regen? Does she need it? Probably not.

    Bottom line - make fence invisible, please. Thamk! :D

    @Sizbang Wattson has more of an alarm system. By this I mean that her tactical is more of a way to know if someone entered your building. It doesn’t do much damage, but it does slow the enemy down and ping their location, turning them into sitting ducks.
    I think it would be cool if Wattson actually did something unusual with her revives, as she shocks them, as opposed to nearly every other character who just jabs them with a syringe.

    It is also a position revealing system for Wattson's team, though. :/

    They don't really get stuck in the fence for a long time, do they? Once you've turned around to spot them, they are already out of the fence. If you're aiming at them and they start walking through, then yes, it works, but then the enemy was just suicidal. :D

    @Sizbang The fence doesn’t make them get stuck, and there is a good amount of time that they are slowed down, enough time to turn and shoot them. Or, move to attack them.
    It can be revealing, but if you are in an enclosed building, they won’t know where everything is, and an ignorant player might not even know.
