I was looking for ways to improve my fps on apex when I saw that you can disable all shadows by changing "setting.csm_enabled" "1"
"setting.csm_coverage" "1" values on saved games/respawn/apex/videoconfig can you get banned for this???
@ImDetonator_ you can only fiddle with the in game settings, is a good rule not to get yourself banned.

You will be fine messing with your video config file, don't let these console players scare you.
1. C:\Users\Replace with your username\Saved Games\Respawn\Apex\local
2. Videoconfig.text right-click open with notepad
3. Scroll to the bottom and change the setting, "setting.csm_enabled" "1" to "setting.csm_enabled" "0" (just changing the 1 to an 0).
Close the text file, right-click properties, general tab, attributes, check read only so the game doesn't overwrite your changes.
That's false. Most streamers and/ or players disable this setting (even in league play). You even play on PC?

My son plays on pc and I encourage him not to break the tos from the point of fair play. I also wonder how you can assert "most streamers/players" do it, as it is unlikely you know of more than a few?

So you don't physically play Apex Legends on PC, but try to give advice about it, doesn't that seem odd?
Changing video config files might be something new to you, but it's common for Apex Legends PC gamers to change, matter of fact disabling CSM shadows is allowed in league and/ or tournaments.

Most streamers do in fact disable hard shadows, you can clearly see it in their broadcasts.
It's not wise to use scare tactics just because you don't know.
Do you by chance have any direct links and/ or responses from Respawn on this topic? The only known issue I've known Respawn to remove was recoil flash back in the day.
