Healables Changes thoughts.

Sooooooo... I played a couple of games last night up until 3AM and well, my honest thoughts on the healable changes are pretty poor. 

I understand changing the ammo stacks to be less to make up for having more room so people don't stack up too much on ammo but the heals being reduced by 2 for syringes/cells and 1 for medkits/batteries is pretty dookie in my opinion. 

I would rather carry attachments that I will never use than carry 4 cells/syringes since 1 battery/medkit alone is much more deserving of that spot. 

4 cells/syringes isn't enough for anything, if you have a level 3 shield, boom you're all out of cells instantly and now need to carry multiple stacks which I don't enjoy doing. 

Almost all my games I had to carry at least 3-4 stacks plus more batteries to make it viable in case we get poked at and that's not fun because you run through them much faster now. 

Why couldn't we keep the stack at 6? I'm fine with only having 2 batteries/medkits but only 4 of the other? C'mon, what monkey came up with this idea. ☹️

  • @iBlockHead I don't care about any of the other changes. The ammo, grenades batteries and med kits, those are fine. But please revert the change to syringes and cells. That change is bad enough, but it also makes using an evo shield worthless. Upgrade your shield and there goes every shield cell you just found.

    @MandatoryIDtag I have more than enough skill to handle myself but to be forced to carry more syringes/cells than normally is just dumb and many people can agree this is the one thing that isn't working out.

    All the other changes I'm OK with as I said in my OP.

    It's the reducing the stacks from 6 to 4 that's annoying. It was an unnecessary change that doesn't reward anyone skills.

    You can't go into 2 gun fights without being damaged at least a couple of times.

    To think that you can is just insane and I'm glad you don't make game choices.

    No its better this way.

    4 cells = 1 Full Shield
    2 Bats = 2 Full Shields

    It kinda Evens it out.

    1 Slot can equal 1 full shield or 2 full shields.

    This helps you to quickly free up a slot.

    But...

    Remember, it is more Efficient to carry Batteries than Cells.

    @hhnbbfggty66 I understand not everyone wants to read all post on a thread but this is only 2 pages long and I don't want to repeat myself for the 3rd time.

    Therefor I'll just respond to what I haven't responded to already, before this you were able to carry 6 cell

    6 cells = 1 1/2 shield 4 cells = 1 shield

    The issue here is, cells are now useless to carry. Before this poop update, you had a choice to carry 6 cells or 1 battery (since its rare to find multiple batteries next to each other) and most of the time you would take the 6 cells as it let you heal 1 shield incase you were poked at vs having to use a WHOLE battery for 1 piece of armor missing.

    This is why I said I would rather carry things I don't need than carry 4 cells that i'll instantly use up the moment me or a teammate gets shot.

    With less cell stacks, it also makes it hard to want to share shields because who knows when you'll find more.

    No you can't, i never said that lol. However you can improve your ability to dodge incoming fire thus reducing the amount of damage you take.  

    As for the last part of that comment i'm just going to leave that alone lol.

    @MandatoryIDtag So what do I do about the damage I did take?

    Do i just suck it up and hope the 3rd team I fight has some shields for all of us?

    Don't use your few cases where you get good games to justify all games that could and will happen where players don't have and won't have cells because of the reduced stack.

    I'll say again, I'm glad you don't make choices for the majority.

    I know when I need to improve my skill to better resolve an issue but in this case, it's nothing about skill.

    Same as when the Charge Rifle dropped, that gun was broke and needed to be resolved and I told others that it wasn't about jumping and dodging the weapon, it was about a bad choice Respawn made.

    I'm saying the same thing again and now. This isn't a good change, if they plan on keeping it, I hope they make changes to the shield cells as well.

    I'm not sure why you're being so crabby with me here to be honest.

    I'm just at the point where i'm tired of whining about every patch so i'm looking to the advantages in them instead.

    @MandatoryIDtag I don't whine about every patch, I rarely ever have anything negative to say so when I do have a complaint, its probably likely that it'll become a bigger issue later.

    I just wish they would resolve that issue now so we don't have to deal with it longer.

    Which I strongly disagree with. That's why I'm trying to tell you its not about upping your skill or anything like that, it's about an unnecessary change they made that which only benefits players who already have their own high ground and safe area and made it 5x harder for those below them to try and pull one over. 

    There is no safety net here and there never was when it came to heals, you want them to remove a safety net? Then have them remove those useless shield cells outta this game and only have batteries laying around. 

  • Haven't played as much recently but I personally haven't had the problem with shields (yet) as I just equip a 3rd slot to always have 12 although the enemies don't have as many on their loot boxes to replenish after but a problem I have found often is now it's a must to carry 2 stacks of syringes because if I take damage from the ring I don't have enough to patch up during or after a fight when one slot was plenty before.
