Judging a player

Okay so there are alot of ways to actually judge a player(‘s worth). What do you pay attention to?

at first I check which character they choose. Consensus (albeit not reliably) is pathfinder/octane/wraith are solo players/rushers/aggressive players, wattson & caustic are campers or cautious players and the rest are... a mix?

second thing I do is watch which badges they display. If I see a lvl badge, I’m already under the impression that this person either not uses that legend alot (unless I see that he has more than the 50 win badge or 50 5-kill game badge or see more than 1k kills) or that he’s not good enough to have better badges equipped because he doesn’t have them (totally prejudiced I know). If I see ‘low skill’ badges like ‘kill leader’, ‘drop 1 squad by yourself’ or one of the previous event badges I’m already thinking ‘either a player who sucks carrots or someone who just started playing again’ (especially if they have that top 5 streak badge and they’re at like 2 xD).

If I see ‘high skill badges’ but on the low count like the win badge or 5 kill badge but between 15-50 I’m like... hmmm how many kills does he have. If I see more than 800... I’m like this dude doesn’t have good track record getting kills or good win-per-kill ratio xD.

If I see good badges like 50+ wins/50+ 5 kill games and another badge, while having 800-1500 I’m already content with that player and know he can pull his own weight unless something unfortunate happens.

20 bomb/triple triple/3/4K badges mean that person is either good + lucky or a cheater and I judge by the way someone moves and how he engages in-game.

Next trackers. Trackers say alot about ppl. If he has no trackers and worthless badges it could be a very good person not wanting ppl to see the skillz beforehand but more than likely, that’s not the case.

Nowadays I hardly see ppl with the win with full team alive tracker unless they have 100+ of those. Most are just season trackers. In any given season if tracker is 50+ I consider you at least competent... this may not also be the case.

Lastly the most important gauger. In-game skillz. If I see you looting a small place like... contagion for like 5 minutes... I consider you low skilled and not aware of surroundings.

If you run up to a squad with less than desirable armor and weapons... same. Same for wanting to 3rd party while you dont seem to take in how many ppl there are (watching) and rush straight in.

If I see you shooting an AR over 100m away trying to hit a target who wasn’t even aware of you (doesnt matter if you miss or not) I dont consider you a good teammate cause you’re drawing attention. Same can be said when a teammate (usually thats me... as bloodhound or since this season Revenant) sneaks up to an enemy who hasn’t seen us and I indicate by voice or ping that I’m going somewhere to attack and I spot the enemies and you see me Rev-crouching and I’m less than 40m away and you decide to start shooting from a semi open space alerting them and making it more likely for them to spot me.. you suck and you belong on the Teletubbies show just like that cool vacuum. Same can be said if you run straight pass me, alerting them someone is there and start shooting at the first person you see.

I can go on but these are one of the main points...

so how bout you? Do you (dis)agree? Do you have some additions? Place them below
