All Apex Legends progress is gone (Origin → Steam issue?)

I’m hoping someone here has experienced this because I’m running out of options.

I originally played Apex Legends years ago on PC through Origin/EA and had significant progress, levels, cosmetics, and account history. I stopped playing for a long time and recently returned through Steam.

When I launched Apex, I was placed on a completely fresh account at level 1. After a lot of digging through old emails, I realized I had been using the wrong EA account. I eventually recovered what I believe is my original EA account from when I actively played Apex.

The problem is that even after recovering that account, all of my Apex progression still appears missing or reset. I’m still seeing what looks like a fresh account.

I’m trying to figure out whether my original Apex data is attached to another EA account, whether Steam linking caused issues, or whether my progression can still be recovered. I also encountered account-linking restrictions during this process.

Important context: my original platform was PC through Origin/EA, not console. My current platform is Steam on PC. The main symptom is missing progression, levels, cosmetics, and account history.

I’m becoming increasingly frustrated because I finally found what seems to be the correct EA account and still can’t access years of progress. If anyone has dealt with this before or knows specific ways to verify where Apex progression is stored, I would seriously appreciate help.

Update / Additional Context:

I remembered something that may be important. At some point, I unlinked my Steam account from one EA account and linked it to another while trying to recover my Star Wars Battlefront II progress. I’m now wondering if that account-linking change affected Apex Legends as well.

Because of this, I’m unsure whether my original Apex progression is tied to a different EA account than the one I recently recovered, or whether unlinking/relinking Steam changed which EA account my games are associated with.

I’m trying to determine whether my old Apex data still exists on another EA account and whether support can identify where the original progression is stored.

Has anyone recovered missing Apex progress after changing linked EA accounts or moving Steam between accounts?

  • I’m having the same issue . I can’t equip my heirloom , I’m starting to get mad bro so much money invested and hours I need my stuff back .  Also weirdly they made me the use shards to unlock the new season character when I been had her already . I don’t get it
