AMD FX6300 crash every round. Tried EVERYTHING... Devs?

Hello.

So I've been enjoying Apex a lot since it came out, but it seems that my game is literally unplayable now and I know there is something going on with the game and FX Series CPUs.

Now... Will this ever be fixed or can I just uninstall the game at this point?

I have tried E V E R Y T H I N G... From fresh windows, to disabling core 5&6, to disabling Microphone when launching the game, to removing overclocks... Nothing seems to work.

Would love to get word from the devs on this.

Also if you're here to comment "Just get another CPU"... just dont

Thanks🍸

  • Been waiting for over a month....for at least some sort of acknowledgement that it's a MAJOR issue. 0 communication. 1 little sentence in some random reddit post doesn't cut it.
Dont get me wrong. I wouldnt be so angry if I didnt love the game
  • Nvidia have been in to help the Dev's and AMD are in next.

Once they have resolved the issues, fixes will be uploaded either in Apex updates or AMD driver updates.

Radeon cards and CPU's a-like should get fixes.

Collab fixes take time and planning. once these major game crashing bugs are resolved other issues can be analyzed without the major bugs causing issues.

Think of it as a filtering process removing big bugs in one filter then working on another to get rid of the slightly smaller bugs that still cause issues and so on till there are no bugs.

  • U can try to add that lines to the game proporties > advanced launch options > +fps_max 60 -threads 4 -refresh 75
If u have 60 hz monitor last number must be 60.
    Sry for my bad English.

    Hello,

Whats helped limit the crashes and make the game

    somewhat playable for me is.

    1. -FPS_Max 90 -preload -threads 6 -forcenovsync  for the command line arguments.

    2. Lowing the resolution from my native 1600x900 full screen to 1366x768 borderless window.

So far that's helped limit the crashing on my system.

    FX-6300

    RX 560 4GB

And  yes my PC can handle playing at full resolution, i get 80- 120 FPS it just crashes more

    often.

Until AMD meets with Respawn and they figure out

the real issue, just fiddle around with resolution

till you get where you can play a few games

    without crashing out.

  • Same problem, and agreed. This is just ridiculous, and I wouldn't be surprised if the devs simply stopped worrying about this. A little more than 1500 people won't make a dent in the 25 million players they've gathered...

What a shame. Because of my crashes, my friends have stopped playing - and I'm afraid we might not be able to start again since we've missed a large part of the hype train. All we have is a single line from a reddit post to believe in. And, at that, we have a single person replying to posts on this forum. Respect, Blueberry, but it's as if someone said "reply to these guys to keep them at bay while we sit around and do nothing"...

Seriously? What are these * doing over there? Sitting in their office and drinking coffee, rolling their eyes as they scroll past yet another page of "Apex crashing without error"?

I'm ashamed to have even liked this game, or think that EA was picking up slack in the first place. How sad...

  • Awesome. I'm running a GTX 1060 with my little FX6300 and also get the same type of performance. I will try out your solution and report back :D

Back in my day we would call that a Beta.
