Apex 6th Anniversary Event Points broken

I got through the first few event items fairly quickly, to the point where I did the math and figured out I could get the Mythics if I bought a couple packs and grinded the rest... well not I am stuck at 5,000/6,000 on the 8th "pack" or Valkyrie skin. I have completed the dailies for the past 4 days and still stuck at 5,000/6,000. Had I known I couldn't grind them anymore I would not have purchased any packs.

Is this a bug? I can't imagine there is a weekly limit if the event is only here for 8 more days.
