After doing the upgrade for apex on the Xbox Series X my game has been crashing numerous times, making the game essentially unplayable. It will sometimes crash on the title screen when I go to log in, while other times it will crash when I load into a match or in the middle of matches. I have been able to rejoin matches a few times and finish them after crashing. But most recently I tried to reload into a match after crashing and got stuck trying to load back into that match. I have tried removing my save data and resyncing as well as removing my Xbox profile and re-adding it as per the Xbox troubleshooting page. But none of these options have allowed me to play the game without it crashing.

Hi @EA_Atic I’ve tried power cycling my console as well as fully resetting my console and also uninstalling and reinstalling Apex and nothing has changed

@octopusteaparty Yea the same thing keeps happening to me, Apex is completely unplayable at the moment, my screen freezes and my Xbox shuts off then restarts, I can log back into apex but it happens so frequently and right in the middle of games I’ve just decided to play any other game for the time being, the graphics look amazing on both the characters and the environment but I’d rather have my old Xbox one S graphics and be able to finish a match instead of amazing graphics and textures that are too much for what’s supposed to be a next gen console

Hey @EA_AticI've also tried running my TV resolution to 1080p just in case it's a strain on the console, but Apex continues to crash. This has never happened before the optimization. I've played cyberpunk 2077 and many other series x optimized games that run fine. No issues till now so I'm not sure what's the deal with my console constantly shutting off when I browse the menu or return to the lobby. I've had a few successful games, but everytime I login to the lobby or finish a game and get sent to the lobby, there's a chance my console will shut off.

@EA_Atic I’ve already tried this. And every other option provided. And nothing has worked. It definitely seems like some sort of bug fix needs to be put out.

Is there any fix yet for this? im struggling now for 2 weeks now and still no fix for this i even changed back to my old xbox where it works w/o any problems. it seems a xbox series x problem only, its really frustrating i cant play my favorit game on my new xbox series x

@octopusteaparty Could you try to power cycle the console and see if that helps.

How to power cycle:

Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.

Unplug the console's power cable. Wait 10 seconds.

Important Make sure that you wait at least 10 seconds. This step resets the power supply.

Plug the console power cable back in.

Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on.

It’s pretty rough right now. I haven’t had my Xbox shutting off but it just freezes and crashes over and over again and when it closes to the Home Screen a white box pops up and disappear. It’s just awful timing cuz I wanna complete the prize tracker for this even but I’m screwed

I've cleared my console of local save files, but I'm not sure how to go about deleting online save files for Apex. Also, I tried getting a game in for prize tracker progress on Arenas and the game crashed at the start of the match. First time this has happened to me and I also got an Abandoned match early penalty. Not sure what's the cause at all.

It would be the same place as local saves. @AlonsoChiquillo

How to from Xbox:

On Home, select My games & apps.

Highlight the game, press the Menu button on your controller, then select Manage game & add-ons.

Select the Saved data box, then choose the item you want to delete.

Ok then yes I have done both. I cleared the save data and then tried a match of Arenas and it resulted in a crash, but this time in a game. Tuesday night I was able to get in 3 games of ranked, like an hour and a half of gameplay with no issues. Yet when I started just one match of Arenas without playing anything else on my console it still crashed.

I wasn't too confident on my console's performance so I had it cleaned by a professional. What I discovered was that it was indeed very dusty as the picture entails. But even after the full clean and brand new thermal paste, Apex continues to crash. I logged in and checked out my friends rank on the friends menu and my console crashed. It's definitely not my console. Let me know how to proceed please.
